Police officers support beleaguered comrades

A host of Metro officers rallied in support of colleagues Jason Beddoe and Mike Mann just before their disciplinary hearing Wednesday morning at the Criminal Justice Center.

The officers have been waiting almost two years to plead their case. They are accused of standing by while private security officers abused Hispanic residents of the Ivy Wood apartment complex over a span of time.

Among the abuse, according to the OPA report, was unlawful searches of residents and their cars, removing parking stickers and towing cars, and spraying Hispanic residents with pepper spray
