Metro police are hoping the public can help identify two suspects in a string of smash-and-grab business burglaries that have occurred over the last two weeks.

The suspects in each of the four incidents are described as black men in their late 20s or 30s. One of the suspects is bald; the other wore a ball cap and has a goatee.

In Wednesday morning’s burglary, the suspect backed a mid-’90s silver Ford Taurus with a spoiler into the front door of the Mapco at 18 Thompson Lane. The back passenger side tail light was broken during the collision.

Other businesses broken into include:

• Dollar General Store, 415 West Trinity Lane on June 18th at 4:50 a.m.
• Daily’s, 5315 Harding Pike on June 21st at 1 a.m.
• Royal Discount Tobacco & Beer, 3843 Dickerson Pike on June 26th at 4:50 a.m.

Anyone who recognizes these suspects or knows their whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Persons who contact Crime Stoppers by phone or text message can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
