Metro Police arrested the first suspect in the case of a Kentucky man found murdered earlier this month in a north Nashville motel. Three other suspects remain at large.
Courtney Hambric, 21, faces criminal homicide charges in connection with the murder of Jiro Kanazawa, 34, of Sonora, Ky. He was found fatally shot Oct. 5 at America’s Best Value Inn on Brick Church Pike.
Hambric, of Chuckey, Tenn., was identified after she used Kanazawa’s debit card to withdraw cash from two different ATMs, police said.
Police said Hambric told them she met Kanazawa after she placed an escort ad on Backpage.com.
She also said the plan was just to rob Kanazawa, but one of her accomplices shot him.
Harold Doss, 23, and his cousin, Christopher Doss, 32, are wanted for questioning the case. The younger Doss, who has multiple robbery convictions, is the person who rented the hotel room where Kanazawa was found.
Police are still working to identify the fourth suspect in the case.
