Metro Police are seeking a convicted felon in connection with gunfire that erupted Sunday night at an apartment complex in South Nashville.
Arrest warrants charging murder and attempted murder were issued Thursday against Ronterius D. Roberson in connection with the shooting at Willow Point Apartments that killed Alvin Howse and wounded Clifton Broadway.
Roberson, 27, who, like the victims, is from Madison County, is believed to be in the Atlanta area. South Precinct detectives learned that Roberson’s mother drove him to Atlanta on Monday.
Investigators said they believe that Howse and Broadway, both 35, came to Nashville to take part in a drug transaction. Roberson did not travel with them.
Roberson was convicted of felony marijuana possession and evading arrest in Madison County in 2000, and felony cocaine possession in Madison County in 2006. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
Anyone seeing him or knowing his whereabouts is urged to contact South Precinct Investigations at 862-7763 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Those who contact Crime Stoppers qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
