Predators move closer

Each game on the schedule is the most important one for the Nashville Predators as they continue to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Saturday night they moved within one point of the Los Angeles Kings, the ninth place team in the Western Conference, with a 2-1 victory over the expansion Minnesota Wild in front of a sellout crowd of 17,113 at Gaylord Entertainment Center. The Predators have 62 points and the Kings have 63. The Kings and Predators face each other Tuesday night at 7 at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in what should be the biggest game of the season.

"Each game we play from now on is the biggest game of the season for us," said Nashville coach Barry Trotz. "I would say we are learning how to play relaxed. Probably the coaches are uptight, but the players are fine."
