Predators standing pat as season winds down

The Nashville Predators still have seven games left, but don't look for any late season call-ups.

Last season right wing Adam Hall, after his playing time with Michigan State ended, came to Nashville to practice and get a first-hand look at what life is like in the NHL, due to a long list of injuries. For the Predators, Hall played in the season finale at Phoenix, earning his first NHL assist.

But this season the Milwaukee Admirals, the Predators top development team, are in a fight for a playoff spot. Nashville vice-president/general manager David Poile doesn't want to force changes that would adversely affect the Admirals chances for postseason play.

The Predators play tonight at home at 7 against the Philadelphia Flyers. The remaining home games are Saturday against the Atlanta Thrashers and the April 1st "Fangtastic Finale" game with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.

"Milwaukee is in a fight for its life to make the playoffs," said a weary Poile Monday afternoon after returning home in the early morning hours from the Predators
