Girls soccer

BGA claimed a 4-0 victory over Brentwood Academy but suffered a 4-2 loss to Hendersonville in their first week of action.

On the first day of the GPS Invitational, held on the weekend of Aug.24-25, the Lady Bruins defeated Notre Dame 4-0. Four different players (Erin Olinger, Molly Turner, Cassie Gullickson, Jenna Diltz) scored goals, assisted by four others (Anne Cushing, Jodie Locke, Beth Maher, Tabitha Almader). The following Saturday BHS and Baylor locked up in a 0-0 tie. Later that day, Meredith Hobbs assisted Allison Turner and Olinger on goals to lead BHS past GPS 3-1. Almader scored the third goal for the Lady Bruins.

Through seven games, the Bruins were 5-1-1. Gullickson led the team with six goals, while Almader and Hobbs topped the squad with three assists. Goalkeeper Steph Stallo had allowed only three goals and posted five shutouts.

Brentwood Academy


The opening week of school BA played BGA (150), Marshall Co. (153), and Lawrence Co. (156) in a match and won by shooting 148. The Eagles were led by Hunter Palmer (35), Ford Newell (37) and Hunter Arnold (37). BA also lost to Father Ryan 153-156. Hunter Arnold is leading the team with a 38 average, followed by Hunter Palmer (39) and Charlie Howell (39). BA
