Vanderbilt basketball coach Kevin Stallings is among three candidates for same position at the University of Michigan, the Ann Arbor News reported Friday.
West Virginia coach Jim Beilein appears to be the frontrunner for the job. The newspaper said Michigan athletics director Bill Martin was in New York City this week to watch the Mountaineers defeat Clemson in the National Invitation Tournament championship game.
Southern Illinois coach Chris Lowery is believed to be the third candidate. Michigan has not yet asked for permission to speak with any of the three coaches but could make contact during this weekend
