Residents plan nuisance group

Citing bright lights, loud noise and blocked streets, a group of Downtown residents is moving forward with plans for a neighborhood association to combat nuisances such as those associated with a recent event on the grounds of the Capitol.

The June 9 event created problems that residents say only add to several others that make living in the area uncomfortable.

Although the association is still its preliminary stages, residents are realizing the need for a vehicle to voice their concerns, Charles Lewter said. Lewter is the association
