Mt. Hope Cemetery in Franklin has increased the amount of a reward it’s offering for information on vandalism there after a second round of destruction was reported last week.

The cemetery’s board is now offering $1,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those who damaged three vases and a flagpole attached to a headstone last week. Around April 22, police responded to reports that as many as 14 headstones were pushed over and vases were broken, potentially costing thousands of dollars to replace.

Williamson County Crime Stoppers is also offering an additional $1,000 for information about the crimes. Those with information can call Crime Stoppers at 615-794-4000, or text the keyword 615FPD along with a message to 847411.
