Robbery victim says he doesn’t know roommate’s name

The victim in a robbery off Briley Parkway early Friday morning said he didn’t know the suspect’s name despite the fact he had let the man stay with him for several weeks.

Police said the victim told his temporary roommate he had to move on from the Dabbs Avenue apartment. This apparently upset the suspect who at 5 a.m. allegedly put a knife to the man’s throat and robbed him. The victim told police the man took $300 and ran away.

The suspect remains at large.
