A second suspect has been arrested in the Sept. 20, 2012, South Nashville shooting death of Abanzer Tsegaye in an Antioch motel parking lot.
Charles A. Childs, 25, is being charged with first-degree murder along with Ronald McCallum, 19, who was arrested last October. Childs, a convicted robber, was already in jail on a parole violation at the time of his indictment.
Tsegaye was shot at the Knights Inn on Bell Road after going there to take part in a marijuana transaction, according to police. Childs and McCallum were believed to have been interacting with Tsegaye when gunfire interrupted.
Childs and McCallum will be arraigned in the near future.
