Senior living center fire sends three to hospital

A fire on the fourth floor of a senior living facility in Madison sent three people to the hospital Wednesday morning.

Nashville Fire Department crews responded to Chippington Senior Towers on Gallatin Pike just before 9 a.m.

Fire officials said the fire started in room 412 and sprinklers doused the flames.

Residents from three floors were evacuated, and three people were transported to a local hospital with smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
