The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office is gearing up for their annual Sober Ride services on New Year’s Eve in downtown Nashville Saturday.
Sober Ride will operate from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on New Year’s Day and will have two bus stops downtown at Second Avenue and Church as well as at Fifth Avenue & Broadway.
The bus will take partygoers to a centralized location at LP Field, then drive them home in smaller vehicles. The service is free and only transports within Davidson County. The traditional 862-RIDE number will not be in operation.
On Friday, DCSO inmate work crews washed the cars that will be used on New Year’s Eve.
