The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested a Tennessee state trooper Monday night for allegedly delivering hydromorphone to a female acquaintance.
Special agents arrested 35-year-old Cesar Maldonado, of 2209 Chance Drive in Hermitage, around 11 p.m. Monday at the Springfield Inn on Memorial Boulevard in Springfield. Maldonado had just gotten off duty when he was arrested for delivery of the schedule II drug, also known as dilaudid, according to a TBI press release.
Maldonado posted a $12,500 bond and was released from the Robertson County jail at 4 a.m. Tuesday. His patrol car was sent to the TBI crime laboratory for processing. The investigation continues.
