Suspect named in East Nashville murder

Metro Police have named Evan Renard Johnson as a suspect in last week's fatal shooting of Frank James Wilson.

The shooting occurred last Thursday night in the 1200 block of North Seventh Street in East Nashville, police said.

Police say Johnson allegedly shot Wilson, 24, in the roadway while having an argument. The investigation, police say, shows that after Wilson was shot once and fell to the ground, Johnson approached the body and fired again. Johnson, 20, has been known to frequent North Fifth Street as well as apartments on Porter Road and Sunset Circle in East Nashville, police said.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information in the case.

Police urge anyone with information on him or his whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME or send a text message by texting the word "CASH" along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES). Tips can also be sent through the Crime Stoppers Web site, nashvillecrimestoppers.com.

Why hasn't Pam Murray ever gotten involved in the crime in here district? This is on going in her district.
