Just ahead of a trial for the murders of three homeless men, James Woods III has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in their deaths.
Woods faced first-degree murder charges in the shooting deaths of Jose Marino Coronado, Brandon Coons and George Ingle on different days in December 2007.
An arrest warrant stated that Woods, 39, shot both Francisco Moreno Ramos and Coronado in their heads and left them for dead along railroad tracks near Fogg Street and Seventh Avenue South on Dec. 15, 2007. Woods was also charged with the attempted murder of Ramos who survived the attack but lost a leg when a train hit him following the shooting.
The warrant states that when police found Woods after developing him as a suspect, he had with him a drawing depicting the crime scene at the railroad track. Police said Ramos later identified Woods in a photo line-up as the one who “punched, robbed and shot” him.
According to the plea, Woods, 39, will serve 50 years, consecutive to a 30-year sentence for aggravated robbery, which he is currently serving in Shelby County.
Don't feed , clothe and shelter this b@$tard for the rest of his life -execute him !
No, dooley, we must help the homeless. Now he gets to be "safe" for the rest of his life. I'm being sarcastic.
BEOWULF: Mind boggling, isn't it? Murderers, illegal aliens, and various scumbag offenders get PERKS - WE foot the bill! Society hasn't failed them; THEY failed society! Bare minimum essentials, execution, deportation - problems fade, tax $$$ saved
yucchhii I know Francisco Ramos. I met him some time AFTER this terrible ordeal. He is in a wheelchair. He is a really nice guy! He and the others who did NOT survive the attack are victims to the sick people who are typical in their beliefs that all homeless people are worthless! ALL homeless people regardless of the reasons why they have become homeless are potential victims to the IDIOTS out there who prey on the homelss because they simply do not like homeless people. They have NO reasons why they dislike homeless people, they JUST don't like them. Also, For many reasons, the Nashville Rescue mission is NOT to be trusted! They do NOTHING to help homeless! They are in it for the money and are always mistreating homeless people who come there to seek help. They nothing but make things to make their lives MORE difficult than what they already are. The Nashville Rescue mission NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED DEEPLY!!!!
This guy was "sentenced" in 1998 to 28 years. Hmm, let's see: He would then be released, at age 67, in 2026.
Is it 2026-? Nope.
He obviously was OUT before 2007. 2007 - 1998 = 9
(NINE) years, that's less than 28, isn't it-?
We all need to put some pressure on about "early releases" - obviously, that's NOT working well - at least for US-!
This is just another "string" for him, and death for others...
Who's in charge, here-?
The Criminals, or the Citizens of Nashville, or, ____________-???
Please fill in this blank for me...
