Police arrested three teenagers accused of burglarizing a north Nashville home.
Police arrested Dontarius Rippy and Justin Hudson, both 18, as well as a 16-year-old about 15 minutes after a citizen reported seeing the trio taking items from a neighbor’s house on the 3800 block of Stevens Lane just after noon.
Canine Officer Joe Shelton responded to the scene on Stevens Lane and broadcast a description of the suspects and the maroon Scion they were driving. Lt. Keith Stephens stopped the suspect vehicle shortly afterward.
Police said they recovered a gun allegedly stolen during the burglary but were unable to locate other missing items. A search of two of the suspects’ nearby home turned up the other stolen items, including another handgun and electronics, police said.
Police said all three suspects admitted to the burglary.
Hudson, of Cumberland Station Boulevard, and Rippy are each charged with aggravated burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Both are free on $10,000 bond each.
The 16-year-old is charged in Juvenile Court with aggravated burglary and unlawful weapon possession.
