Beyond the competition for starting positions at cornerback, free safety and linebacker, there are the usual battles being waged in the Tennessee Titans training camp.
And as always, the competition is spirited for those end-of-the-roster spots and backup positions.
Often times it seems when the savage clash of shoulder pads crashing together pierces through the humidity of training camp drills, chances are it was delivered by one of those undrafted, unheralded guys just trying any way possible to impress his way onto the 53-man roster or, at the very least, the five-man practice squad.
Beware veteran wide receiver coming over the middle; look out running back coming through the line on a carry; watch out tight end in the flat.
Some longshot kid from Nowhere U. is trying to impress the coaching staff and you just might be his next target.
