Truck rams cop’s motorcycle and speeds away

Metro Police are searching for a truck driver who rammed an officer’s patrol motorcycle and sped away around 1:20 p.m. Tuesday. The officer was not seriously hurt in the crash.

Officer Daniel Massey, a 24-year-veteran of the department, pulled over a teal green late ’90s Dodge pickup truck for running a red light at the Interstate 40 East exit ramp on Second Avenue. The truck pulled onto Lindsley Avenue, but as Massey dismounted his bike, the driver put the vehicle into reverse and rammed the motorcycle, police said.

“He was able to jump off his motorcycle just in time,” said police spokesperson Kristin Mumford.

An ambulance was called, but Massey’s only injury was to his hand.

The suspect vehicle has grey coloring along the bottom and has Georgia license plates, Mumford said. The plate may contain the partial “HAP.”

The cars windows were tinted but it appeared two men were the occupants, she said.

Anyone with information on the suspect vehicle is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

I wonder what University of Tennessee athletes these were.

With tinted windows, hit and run, you can pretty well bet they were illegal aliens from South of the Border and on the move from GA, unless they had stolen tags, like the stolen cars they drive. Probably had just come from the Antioch area and were headed downtown to see what they could steal down there.
I just hope they catch them and lock them up or do more than just lock them up.

Oh, yes, let's just assume it was illegals. Some people are such retards.
