Metro Police are looking for clues in the Tuesday murder of Tennessee State University's Poultry Plant supervisor.
Police say a co-worker found Nathaniel Adefope, 60, murdered inside a storage building at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Frank A. Young Poultry Plant. The farm is located in the 3500 block of West Heiman Street.
The cause of death has not yet been determined.
Adefope, a 27-year veteran of TSU, served as the poultry plant supervisor. He held a Master of Science degree in agriculture with a concentration in animal science from TSU
President Melvin N. Johnson expresses his sorrow to the University community and the victim’s family.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our beloved employees,” Johnson said. “The university family grieves the loss of one of its own."
