Two unmanned planes collide on airport tarmac, no one injured

A non-commercial plane that was being towed crashed into another private plane at Nashville International Airport this afternoon. A BNA spokeswoman said nobody was on board either plane when the collision took place. There were no injuries.

The airport is investigating the cause of the accident. The crash isn't affecting any operations at the airport.

One of the planes involved is registered to food purveyor H.J. Heinz Company in Pennsylvania, according to a Federal Aviation Administration records. The other is registered to Carol West and West Air Holdings LLC out of Memphis. It was scheduled to return to Memphis this afternoon.
