A pedestrian was fatally injured Tuesday night when she was struck by a minivan while crossing Ardee Avenue near her residence in Inglewood, police said.
Christy Dianne Jackson, 37, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died this morning.
Isaac Botchway, 45, of Cane Ridge Road, was driving a 1999 Dodge Caravan eastbound on the 1400 block of Ardee Avenue at 11 p.m. when he struck Jackson.
There was no evidence Botchway was impaired or that speed was a factor, police said. Police said charges are not expected to be filed against the driver.
It appears Jackson’s failure to yield to traffic while crossing the roadway was the contributing factor to this fatal accident, police said.
