Vehicles on I-65 hit by baseball-sized rocks

Franklin Police say two motorists traveling south on Interstate 65 on Monday night reported that their windshields were struck and broken by baseball-sized rocks.

Police suspect teenagers may be responsible for throwing the rocks The cars were hit south of Highway 96 between mile markers 62-63 on I-65.

Parents are urged to warn their children how dangerous this can be.

"When a motorist traveling at interstate speeds is suddenly startled by their windshield beingstruck by a rock and their vision is unexpectedly obstructed, the consequences can be tragic — even fatal," Franklin Police said in a release.

Franklin Police are urging anyone with information on the suspects to call 550-8404 or send an anonymous text message with the keyword 615FPD along with your message to 847411.

now maybe the THP can find something useful to do instead of threading through bumper to bumper tfaffic.

Years ago in another city, some teen boys were tossing rocks off a bridge onto passing cars. One car had it's sunroof open, a rock struck the driver and killed him. The brat who did it was sent to jail for a looooong time.
