A group of eight investors has bought the vintage Lee Apartments building in Midtown with the intention of updating the aging structure. The group, spearheaded by Brookside Properties and FAS Realty, closed on the deal last week, buying the seven-story building for $3.95 million from Atlanta-based Post Properties Inc.

Bill Warfield, president of Brookside Properties, said his partners in the deal are excited about updating the stately Lee. The group, he said, intends to spend about $400,000 during the next two years to improve the building.
