Police believe it was a robber with a familiar face who tried to hold up the same Nolensville Pike Sun Mart for the second time within a week.

At 6:45 a.m. Thursday, the suspect walked into the market at 5016 Nolensville Pike and showed the clerk a demand note threatening to shoot unless the clerk paid $200. Police said a handgun was visibly sticking out of the suspect’s waistband.

The ploy worked last Friday, but police said there wasn’t enough money available to meet the robber’s demand on Thursday. The man fled empty-handed when a customer pulled up at a gas pump.

Police are looking for a blue car, which may be a Honda Accord, with either a Florida or a California license plate.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or who has information concerning this robbery can contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME or send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES) or online at www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com.
