Police are still trying to determine how a woman exited a vehicle traveling on Briley Parkway early Friday morning.

North Precinct detectives have not been able to interview Sharon Martin, 42, of west Nashville because of the injuries she suffered at 3 a.m. Friday, when the door of the pickup truck she was a passenger in came open and, according to a police statement, “Martin landed in the roadway, and the truck sped off.”

A witness told police that the truck swerved abruptly just before Martin left it.

Martin was critically hurt in the incident, but police believe her injuries aren’t life threatening at present.

Police found the abandoned vehicle several miles away on the Briley Parkway exit ramp to Clarksville Pike, but the driver hasn’t been identified.

The pickup truck is registered to a Montgomery County address.

Lady certainly needs a new friend! The driver apparently didn't
care if she lived or died by speeding off.

Gov must be using the word "friend" in the loosest way possible!
