A Belle Meade Police Department officer discovered in Percy Warner Park last week a white powder substance that has tested positive for methamphetamine.

Officer Keith Samol happened upon a plastic bag that contained an Altoids can near the turnaround area in Percy Warner Park on June 11. The small tin can contained several mints, as well as white pieces of paper bound by a rubber band, according to a BMPD report.

Inside the paper  was .06 grams of “white brown tinted powder” that field-tested positive for meth. The street value was estimated at $60.

There are no suspects in the case and the substance was turned over to the Metro Nashville Police Department for incineration.
