Wreck shuts down I-40

Interstate 40 westbound is closed near mile marker 214, according to the Tennessee Department of Safety.

A crash was reported at 1 p.m. between exits for Nashville International Airport and Briley Parkway.

TDOT estimates the roadway will reopen by 5 p.m. Monday.

All westbound lanes are blocked. Traffic is being diverted to alternate routes.
