WTVF fills sports vacancy

WTVF NewsChannel 5 has hired Eric Yutzy to fill the vacancy on its sports staff.

Yutzy, a graduate of Quinnipiac, will join WTVF on July 14 to fill the opening left when weekend sports anchor Bob Rainey departed in April for Minneapolis.

Yutzy comes to Channel 5 after a one-year stint at NBC affiliate WMGM-TV in Atlantic City, N.J.

Prior to that, Yutzy worked as a news reporter at Dayton, Ohio.
