A few spaces remain for the 2001 Summer Camp session, which is open for youth ages 6-17, at YMCA's Camp Widjiwagan.
Camp Widjiwagan is located on 305 wooded acres overlooking J. Percy Priest Lake and features the Bridgestone/Firestone Waterfront Park, the Bank of America 50-foot Alpine tower and a high ropes course with a zip line.
Youths can register for two-week traditional Camp Widjiwagan sessions and for one- to two-week specialty school sessions that range from sailing school to drama school. There are also After Camp Clubs in the afternoons and Teen Adventure camps available.
Camp sessions run from May 29-Aug. 10. Bus transportation is provided by many of the YMCA facilities in the Nashville area.
The Joe C. Davis YMCA Outdoor Center opened to the Nashville community June 1, 1998. Other camp features include the BellSouth bell tower, horse stables, a beach with a waterslide and water trampoline, Master Craft ski boats, a banana boat, remote campsites and the News Channel 5 outdoor airnasium.

Swimming lessons and lifeguard certification
The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is offering swim instruction with certified instructors to every age group as well as lifeguard instructions to people ages 16 and up.
