Up for Debate: Ag-gag bill

Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 10:05pm

Do you believe a bill headed to the governor's desk that would required those who record images of animal abuse to turn them over to law enforcement within 48 hours will help fight abuse or only hurt the efforts to document it and therefore prosecute abusers?

It won't be us right-wingers who are first against the wall when our democratic ideals deliver Sharia on a silver platter, loner. The Constitution and Islam's (for now) minority status are the only things that stand in the way right now. They are working hard to remedy the whole 'minority' problem and the Democrats are working hard to convert the country into a pure democracy. We have only to look at France and Denmark to see where this will lead us.

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 9:44

I see, Ben, it's the small "d" democrats in the US who are "delivering Sharia on a silver platter"...it's the fault of the leftists....this has nothing to do with misguided US foreign policy over the years....is that the right-wing narrative now being trumpeted across the airwaves?

Nice try, old friend....but no cigar.

Getting back to my point about getting government "off the backs" of small business...the battle cry of the Tea-Baggers and the GOP, get a load of this:

Records reviewed by The Associated Press show the U.S. Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration fined West Fertilizer $10,000 last summer for safety violations that included planning to transport anhydrous ammonia without a security plan. An inspector also found the plant's ammonia tanks weren't properly labeled.

The government accepted $5,250 after the company took what it described as corrective actions, the records show. It is not unusual for companies to negotiate lower fines with regulators.

In a risk-management plan filed with the Environmental Protection Agency about a year earlier, the company said it was not handling flammable materials and did not have sprinklers, water-deluge systems, blast walls, fire walls or other safety mechanisms in place at the plant.

Looks like the right-to-work in a dangerous scab facility has its drawbacks...they didn't need no steenking inspections...they didn't need no steenking inspectors....they didn't need no steenking union....and they didn't need no steenking whistle-blowers in West, Texas....this is the grim result.

I'm glad to hear you aren't into it personally, Loner. So let me throw this little point in your lap.

As I've posted before, Barry advertised for 16 years he was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii until he decided to run for president of the USA in 2007. That, then, opened the door to the question of his constitutional eligibility.

When the officer went to Hawaii in his investigation, he learned of an elderly woman whose name was on Barry's on-line "birth certificate". She provided them valuable information that, upon her death, would have never been known again.

If you remember, there was a lot of numbers on that form and no one knew what they meant.

She pointed out how the Hawaiian Dept. of Health processed the birth certificate back in the 1961s. She pointed out Hawaii has been granting U.S. Citizenship to anyone who resides in Hawaii, should the resident request a U.S. Birth Certificate, even if the resident wasn't born on U.S. soil.

So the question then: Was Obama born in Kenya as he advertised for 16 years before he announced he was in the race for president in 2007, or was he born in Hawaii as the document he presented as his birth certificate showed, or was he given a birth certificate by the Hawaiian government at his request for one even though he could have been born in Kenya as he had advertised?

Whadda you think, Loner?

I today's society, in America, there is NO way of getting away from animal effects:
My Nikes, Reeboks, Brooks running shoes have "Leather uppers"...
My belt is calf skin...
My steering wheel in my car, as well as the seats, are "fine leather"...
My wallet is "Fine calfskin"..
The list is endless.
However, I only wear the animals,
I DO NOT eat the animals...
You eat the animals, then you get colon cancer.

Yogi asked, "Whadda you think, Loner?"

I think that you should give it a rest, Yogi....you are being exploited....deceived....used as a dupe...those sites that feed you this BS are hosing gullible folks like you.

If Donald trump could not prove the birther BS...the Clintons tried too...then you can rest assured that the birther stuff is pure BS...millions were spent trying to prove the false claim....all wasted money...the birther stuff is just a mean-spirited lie.

Before the reich-wingers get in a tizzy about Muslims in Boston, don't forget that the person who was sending ricin letters is a WHITE man from Mississippi--probably an avowed "Christian" as well.

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 10:33

Hitler, the grandson of Maria Anna Schicklgruber may have been a self-loathing Jew?

Rumors persist...maybe he was bullied for being Jewish when he wasn't...this could explain much.

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 10:38

Kosh....Frist was a cat burglar...a young man who stole cats for evil "medical" research? Or did the little rich boy pay cat burglars to actually snatch those pussies?

The Ricin mailer got the back burner....the Boston Bombings stole the show...the media is working this thing to death...copycats are taking notes?

Does that include the KKK and other like groups.

Are you saying Obama's autobiography was written as a comic book? Sorry, I ain't going home until I'm proved to be wrong.

By the way, if you have 5 minutes to relax before I throw another bat at you, go to www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=W6tB8Lf7YoU/

It's a great show of the Blue Angels. I didn't know it before, but it was noted the pilot on the right is always a U.S. Marine.

Is that so he can get out of their way if they "screw up"?

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 11:16

Here's a moving video...a statement from the uncle of the Boston Bombers:

The audio is not the best...but I empathize with this man...he describes his nephews as, "losers"...he is ashamed of their actions and this man, the uncle, loves the USA and is grateful for being here...you can feel his pain and shame...and his anger...powerful video, IMO.

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 11:22

Budget cuts have hit the Blue Angels...the sequester deal...the first things to go are the show items...I mean, you gotta start somewhere....I love air shows too...but Uncle Sam has to save a few bucks here, so he can squander it over there...we do empire backwards, treasure flows from the conqueror to the conquered....the Romans knew how to do empire....we do not....our empire will probably go bankrupt from all the victories.

By: yogiman on 4/19/13 at 11:22

I'll admit, I don't know what has made people take a step backward, but unless Obama way lying in his autobiography, I know I'm right.

And the Clintons? They knew. I saw Bill Clinton in an interview one night and he was asked about Obama's citizenship. He just smiled. Why didn't he say he was or wasn't?

Again, I don't know why Donald Trump "backed up" when he questioned the birth certificate Barry finally came up with after Trump's argument.

I questioned Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker as to why they questioned John McCain but didn't question Obama. No response from Corker to explain it then, but Alexander stated he had been "investigated" and was eligible.

I wrote back asking where they got that information and why it hadn't been passed down to the public. No answer.

So: Why did they question John McCain in a Senate session but didn't question Barack Obama. And why did they "investigate" Obama but not MaCain?

I'm still wondering, Loner. If you can give me some facts instead you 'you shouldn't', I'll look into your facts.

I'm still wondering why Obama has continued to refuse to identify himself; aren't you?

Just who in the hell is that man, Loner?

By: bfra on 4/19/13 at 11:30

My goodness, this crazy old man (idiot) after 4 1/2 yrs., 2 elections & all the proof that has been thrown at his empty head. On this board, numerous times by gdiafante & others, is still stupid enough to ask "Just who in the hell is that man, Loner?". How much dumber can you get? He needs to lay down and wallow with the hogs, because he is that low. yogi that means YOU incase you are still to ignorant to know!

By: yogiman on 4/19/13 at 11:31

Over the weekend, 44 Senators of the Democrat Party and 2 Independents voted to give our gun rights to the United Nations in support of Barack Obama's "order" to enter into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

Where, in our Constitution, is Congress authorized to ignore it and give our constitutional rights to a foreign organization?

To me, they are traitors.

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 11:31

Yogi scratches his head and asks: "Just who in the hell is that man, Loner?"

He is a gifted young man who did not come from a royal family, like the Bush and Kennedy clans....he is a hard-working man who excelled in school and succeeded in politics, in spite of his odd name....he is the duly elected President of the United States of America and the Commander- in-Chief of US armed forces...as a veteran, sir, you ought to show the man some respect....but no, you cling to racist myths about his origins....you are a hater, Yogi and that stuff is out of style.

By: bfra on 4/19/13 at 11:36

The Dad has warned "if his other son is killed, all hell will break loose". That speaks volumns for where these 2 bombers got their growing up.

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 11:38

Bfra...we should simply ignore Yogi....he is well beyond help or hope...he is an ignorant racist who wallows in his racism and his racism...as you say, like a hog....I will ignore the swine for the rest of the day...maybe he'll give it a rest tomorrow? Naaaah! He's obsessed....a certifiable lunatic....who claims to be armed.

If BHO ever comes to Nashville, the authorities will need to watch this guy....he is whacked.

Loner - Just the comments he has put on this board, should be enough to have him in a home for the insane. With his gun threats, possibly the criminally insane.

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 11:44

The bombers' dad should be questioned? That would make sense, IMO...where did these kids get their radical ideas from? An interview with their pappy would shed some light on that.

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 11:48

Thanks for your 12:39, Bfra...we agree on that much....I dare to say that Ben Dover would grudgingly agree with my description of BHO....what sayest thou, Ben?

When the Japanese Imperial Navy attacked Pearl Harbor, they rounded up the Japanese Americans and put them in camps.

Should we round up the Muslim immigrants and put them in camps too?

Some might vote for that option...that or expulsion...(deportation), but we don't do it that way today, do we?

The only fair way to handle this is on a case by case basis....but those who promote Jihad...whether it's in the US mosques, through the social media or whatever....should be monitored, IMO.

The extremist sects on US soil are probably few in number ...let us hope that the good guys are keeping tabs on those bad guys....an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

By: yogiman on 4/19/13 at 12:18

How can you make such a description of Barry when you don't even know who he is, Loner?

And you call me a racist? Sorry, you are the racist, not I. The race factor is the only reason you have given to support him.The only thing you know about him is his dual-racism.

I'm against him being in that office illegally because he is white, not black. Race has nothing to do with the question.

And, by the way, I'm still waiting on you, or bfra, or one of your other cohorts, to submit known facts proving I'm wrong. Just your thoughts, or opinion, isn't enough. Give me the facts.

All any of you have done is post: You're wrong! Am I? Prove it, don't just post it.

" Senate majority leader Bill Frist that, during his medical training, when faced with a lack of animals for vivisection projects, he "adopted" cats from animal shelters in the Boston area, then killed them doing medical experiments. "It was a heinous and dishonest thing to do," Frist admitted. "I was going a little crazy."

The cats were still alive when he began taking them apart.

The news agencies should interview the former Senator and ask him about his opinions regarding this proposed law.....The NCP ought to contact the good doctor and inquire?

By: brrrrk on 4/19/13 at 12:43

BenDover saId

""unchecked multi-culturalism has proven to be a failed experiment"
Every Western European Head of State"

Ridiculous!! Every Western European country (unlike America) was originally established around an already existing cultural/ethnic group, Germany;the Germans, France; the French, Spain; the Spanish, Denmark, the Danes, etc. etc. etc.....

So, who are the "chosen people" in America?

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 12:52

Assimilation has gotten a bad rap lately...the melting pot idea has been demonized, by people with good intent, I'm sure....preserving one's cultural heritage is the stated goal of the German Fests, the Italian Fests, the Polish Fests, the Celtic fests... even the Redneck fests....but dragging Old World hate into the New World has to stop right now.

The trouble is, President Obama recently and very publicly confirmed the "unshakeable bond" between the USA and the Jewish state in Palestine...the apartheid nuclear-scofflaw state....the Great Theocratic Wars of the 20th and 21st Centuries are being waged right now....Holy Wars Suck....I don't see this getting better before it gets worse....Uncle Sam is now fully entangled in Judeo-Christian theocracy and holy war.....he ignored General Washington's warning.

Here's a rather strange view of assimilation:

By: bfra on 4/19/13 at 12:55

brrrrk - IMO at the present, the chosen people seem to be immigrants. They are catered to more so than legal citizens when free social services are involved. The Government has records of legal citizens, so if they fail to follow regulations there are consequences. They have no record of most illegals, so they just go about doing as they please. 1 gets a minimum of credentials and 10+ more use them..

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 1:10

The USA, the hope of Western culture, has gone from the melting pot to the tossed salad....a strange salad with some inedible, perhaps poisonous plant parts tossed in.

As we know, tomatoes are edible and nutritious, but the foliage of the tomato plant is toxic to humans....tomatoes are members of the night shade family.

Time to reignite the melting pot; assimilation into American mainstream culture is a good thing...a necessary thing...if someone cannot assimilate, then they should go back to the Old Country and take their hate with them...no dual-citizenship for that sort of hater.

By: bfra on 4/19/13 at 1:13

Loner IMO it is plainly obvious that most immigrants are not interested in assimilation. They want what ever is free & continue to live just like where they came from. Thus, the US is starting to look like a 3rd world country.

By: bfra on 4/19/13 at 1:16

Loner - Never thought about it, but I didn't know tomato plant foliage was toxic. Paying attention can teach a lot of things. Some on here would do well to try it sometime.

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 1:27

A better metaphor might be along these lines:

From Merriam Webster:

noun \ˈme-təl\
Definition of METTLE
a : vigor and strength of spirit or temperament
b : staying quality : stamina
: quality of temperament or disposition
— met·tled adjective
— on one's mettle
: aroused to do one's best
See mettle defined for English-language learners »
See mettle defined for kids »
Examples of METTLE

The competition will test her mettle.

Origin of METTLE
alteration of metal
First Known Use: 1581

America's mettle came from the discarded or unwanted mettle of it's immigrants...the "scrap iron" of Europe came here and their mettle was melded in the melting pot of America, along with the mettle of millions of Africans who were hauled here, as slaves....the mettle of the American native peoples has also been added to the molten alloy....we have the best mettle out there...that was proven by the people of Boston, the police, the first responders, the medical staff at the hospitals and all who rose to rose to the occasion.

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 1:32

s/h/b: "and all who rose to the occasion." Sorry for that typo....nobody is perfect...when it comes to typing, I need professional help....and Spellchecker assistance....as a typist, i rather suck, I admit that.

"Loner IMO it is plainly obvious that most immigrants are not interested in assimilation. They want what ever is free & continue to live just like where they came from. Thus, the US is starting to look like a 3rd world country."

Imagine how boring our culture (and our diets) would be if everyone would have been forced to "assimilate" from day one....

Frankly bfra, you're starting to sound like Ben and yogi...

By: Loner on 4/19/13 at 1:43

Speaking of heavy mettle...check out Colorado....

Talk about yer Rocky Mountain High.....will BHO crack down on this? IMO, he ought to issue a Presidential Order taking Cannabis off the federal Controlled Substances list...that's the easiest rout to letting each state decide...let's free the courts and the prisons of needless and expensive work...Free the Pharmers! Free the Medicine! Free the Reef!
