Up for Debate: Beacon's poll

Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 2:00am

What do you make of the results of a poll of Davidson County voters that was commissioned by the Beacon Center of Tennessee? Do you believe the percent of voters in opposition is skewed too high or even too low maybe? Or as is often the case with polls, does it matter anyway?

yogi - You have never offered proof of any of your BS! So Get some proof and then show it. Proof that shows you are full of BS has been posted my many on this board. Show your proof! Oh, you don't have anything but BS from trash sites.

If Barack Obama took his stepfather's name, when, if ever, did he legally go back to his original name? Names are names but they should officially be legal names in public office.

Re McCain being born in Panama. To refresh your memory, Barack Obama raised the question on McCain's legal eligibility and forced him being questioned. The Senate agreed with him being born in Panama to parents who were both American citizens and his father was stationed there in service, he was a natural born citizen. Barack Obama voted in McCain's favor on the issue. The vote was 99-0 because McCain didn't vote in his personal favor.

And McCain readily showed his birth certificate to prove himself.

When the question was then raised about Obama's eligibility, he refused to be questioned the way he insisted McCain be questioned. Ever wonder why he insisted McCain be questioned but refused to be questioned himself? Ever wonder why he refuses to show his original birth certificate? Ever wonder why the Hawaiian government has refused to show it? Ever wonder why the hospital he says he was born in refuses to accept that free advertisement?

Color has nothing to do with it, dargent7 but you keep bring it up. Why, are you a racist? I'm not.

You obviously don't have any "proof" as you claim, bfra, or you would readily show it to me because you'd love to get an apology from me.

I have referred many forms of proof to you but you and your fellow posters seem to refuse to check it out.

The main argument we've had is the legal meaning of natural born citizen. I'll refer you once again to the one case in a Supreme Court finding that explains the meaning of natural born citizen. Read their finding on the Minor v. Happersett case of 1875 and let me know what you think of their finding.

Minhappersettee, blah, blah, blah, blah, then tell me, how come, what if, when did, blah, blah, blah and for good measure, blah, blah. All of this makes more sense than anything yogi has ever put on the board.

I'm sorry, bfra. I didn't know you couldn't read. Maye you should find a child who could read it and explain it to you.

It's very simple, it's simply writing of the Supreme Court's finding.
