The very audacity of our neighbors to the South.

The next thing you know "these people" will be passing personal responsibility laws.

I am also aware that this area of Williamson County voted heavily for Mitt Romney. There is a rumor going through 37215 and 37205 that Williamson County (the home county of Brentwood) has a public school system that does not require residents to pay $15,000 to $18,000 dollars a year for private school education.

I am absolutely sure that the "Simple Six" will voice their displeasure with this ruling to the other 18 or 19 people who post on this forum with regularity. "Sic em Six"

That entire area of Middle Tennessee is an area that must be infiltrated by the 47% in order to drive the crime, squalor and welfare rate to something that more resembles Davidson County.

The "Simple Six" may not be aware of it but Williamson County has a tax rate of about 60% of that of Davidson County. Perhaps one or all of the "Six" will explain this disparity while filling this forum with responses to whatever Yogi dreams up today.

The Martini circuit last evening was not kind to me so I must retire until my morning breakfast walk. A Bloody Mary and two paoched eggs on an English Muffin with a side of bacon and orange juice may be the only thing I can look forward until mid-morning.

As is to be expected, we are treated to an antagonistic, looking for a fight post from our faux russian troll.

This ruling is obviously aimed at keeping the homeless under control and out of sight in the well to do county.

There are indications having money does not bring intelligence. Declaring this to be about safety is, at best, shockingly transparent. At worst, it indicates drivers in our neighboring county are more dangerous than in Davidson County, where streetside vendors sell their wares daily with no problems.

We all understand the unsaid message, so why not just openly tell the world you believe yourselves better than everyone else?

By: gdiafante on 11/15/12 at 6:30

Actually, if you read the story, the reason Brentwood won is because they offered viable sales alternatives, one being door-to-door. So, if it were really about keeping the homeless out of the county/city, this ruling didn't help them.

By: gdiafante on 11/15/12 at 7:08

It's 1861 all over again...surprise, the backassward South is at it again...

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/11/states-with-most-signatures-to-secede-took-millions-in-federal-money/

Am I alone to think that every name on those petitions should be prosecuted for sedition?

By: parnell3rd on 11/15/12 at 7:12

If you don't like the south, you can move, or stop commenting on our politics.

By: Loner on 11/15/12 at 7:16

Good morning, Nashville.

What do you think about a federal judge's ruling against street paper The Contributor and its distribution methods in Brentwood?

I think that the NCP is out of fresh ideas this morning...this story and its comment board are located here:

http://nashvillecitypaper.com/content/city-news/federal-judge-rules-against-contributor-brentwood-case

Why devote space for two comment boards to discuss the same article?

I'm afraid that I must agree with the notion that aggressive sales-persons hawking newspapers to drivers stopped at traffic lights does create a potentially hazardous situation. Hit one of those folks and you are in deep doo-doo....they'll be calling 444-4444, while airborne, before they hit the pavement....Kerching!

I call these homeless folks who dart out in front of you at intersections, "Claim Jumpers". They jump in front of an expensive-looking car and then file a claim against the driver. Getting a generous cash "settlement" is one of the new fantasy methods of obtaining instant wealth....that and the Lottery.

Go door to door to sell the paper....that will really bug the hell out of the "productive class" living the good life in Brentwood. When the rich person's pit bull attacks the homeless salesperson...again, it will be lawsuit time and a potential settlement bonanza for the victim.

"If elected I will not raise taxes by one dime if you make under $250,000" Sen. Obama
LIAR! He is asking for a $1.6 trillion increase in taxes that will come "mainly from the top 2%" Obama. So that means the rest of us will have tax increases.
"If elected i will reduce the deficiet by 50%" Sen. Obama
LIAR! Debt has went from billions to trillions!
Now, I know you libtards are going to try to blame Pres. Bush. But he is not the President and he did not make these statements.
"If elected i will nd both wars in my first term" Sen. Obama
LIAR! He ended the Iraq war on Pres. Bush's timetable. Pres. Obama wanted to keep troops in Iraq longer.
FYI we are still in Afganistan. A war that Illinois State Sen. Barack Husseine Obama approved of.

By: parnell3rd on 11/15/12 at 7:21

Time to drink coffee and go to work. Yall have a great day.
Yea, the NCP does not want to talk about real issues!!!

By: yogiman on 11/15/12 at 7:24

You could always move up yonder and become Loner's neighbor, gdiafante.

By: gdiafante on 11/15/12 at 7:27

If you don't like the south, you can move, or stop commenting on our politics.

Contrary to your (idiot) beliefs, the South is part of the United States. I suggest if you don't like it, and you signed the petition, don't let the door hit you on the way out, we don't need your whiny ass.

And yes, wanting to leave the union makes you a traitor to our country.

Barry hasn't got us bankrupt for his takeover yet, Parnell3rd. It won't take another 4 years because congress is backing him all the way.

They are acting as treasonous as he. This Benghazi affair caused deaths, Watergate did not cause any deaths but Nixon resigned. Barry has no thought of stepping down because he doesn't give a damn how many citizens die.

By: Loner on 11/15/12 at 7:31

Gd, I agree on your 7:08...this is sedition and should not be treated lightly.

But, if a state wants to leave the union, I say, let them go...we then cordon the place off, like the Israelis do to the Palestinians who are trapped by Jewish settlements all around them....of course, we still would control the airspace over the seceding states....we could blockade their ports too, like the Israelis do in Gaza...we would then block recognition of the rebels by the UN....all this would starve the stateless rebels into submission, like the Jews are doing to the Arabs in Gaza....after all, we share "core values" with our friends in the Jewish state; we could start acting like it, if states decide to head for the exits.

BTW, Operation Pillar of Defense, the re-do of Operation Cast Lead, is well underway in Gaza right now....Israel assassinated the top Hamas military commander yesterday along with several innocent bystanders....they use US-made aircraft and missiles to do the snuffing....the retaliatory rocket-fire has killed 3 Israelis...now, the IDF will really pound the Arabs...the Israelis won't stop until they realize a 100 to 1 kill ration, as they did in Cast Lead (1400 to 14).....this is Bibi's method of insuring re-election in January.

President Obama called Bibi to tell him that the US was backing him up and is in favor of this new Israeli offensive....BHO gave Bibi the green light to slaughter....glad I did not vote for the wimp.

By: parnell3rd on 11/15/12 at 7:36

Just like a good kool aide drinking liberal you put words into my statement that i did not say. Plus you resort to name calling. CLASS all the way.
Now I know were the name libtard came from.

By: Loner on 11/15/12 at 7:37

You know, the troll has really ruined this site....his boring and annoying hate-speech has driven away some of the best posters here...I'm thinking about pulling the plug on the NCP myself....the posting community has dwindled in quantity and quality.

Think I'll surf the web and see what's out there this morning...later!

By: parnell3rd on 11/15/12 at 7:39

Move to NYC were people are hungry for food after hurricane Sandy. Were the mayor of NYC is denying hungry people food because he says mac and cheese is not good for them. Liberals like you gdia would rather see people die than help them.

By: parnell3rd on 11/15/12 at 7:40

We will be happy to see you leave Loner, we'll have a partay!!!

By: parnell3rd on 11/15/12 at 7:41

Dayum did I say that out loud? Now it will stay just to bother us!!!! ahahahahha That was funny!!!

By: Captain Nemo on 11/15/12 at 7:45

We got three of the four trolls commenting on everything from oppression of free enterprise to civil war. Next we hear from the troll monkey tell us some outrages story about one of the papers corner sales rep offering her a free paper if she will go to bed with him.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/15/12 at 7:45

Lets have lunch Raspy old boy.

By: gdiafante on 11/15/12 at 7:46

where, not were. Is this your Southern intellectual superiority?

Plus you resort to name calling. CLASS all the way.
Now I know were the name libtard came from.

Oh, the irony and there should be no doubt this is lost on the author. lol

I get it, by the way. I understand how you and yogi are clinging to a dying way of life...the new demographics of this country must sting you so. In many ways, the South of 2012 is very similar to the South of 1861...both are going into the future kicking and screaming.

And much like the Old South, eventually you and your kind will die off and the country will be better for it.

By: gdiafante on 11/15/12 at 7:55

Liberals like you gdia would rather see people die than help them.

Now he's concerned about Sandy. Funny, before the election, wasn't that entire storm a media-created myth? I would say you're out of your mind, but that would suggest you actually had a mind.

On a personal level, if you think I don't like you, you're wrong. I detest you. You're one of the more disgusting people that post on here, and that's saying something given the main troll. You'd be better served to drag your knuckles back under that rock you crawled out of and stop embarrassing yourself.

And then you wonder why the rest of the country, and for that matter, the world, think of the South as nothing more than the characters from Deliverance.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/15/12 at 7:59

The itty bitty p3 does not no class from the the hole in his head. He says liberal resorts to name calling when he in turn call people that disagree kool aid drinkers, for starters. The poor boy lives in fear that his make believe superiority is in danger. All that is has been lead to believe has been wrong. Just another sad case of ignorance run amuck.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/15/12 at 8:02

I think Rasputin has for got what city he is in, by his fist sentence. Look at it again.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/15/12 at 8:03

Lets have lunch in Brentwood Raspy old boy. My treat.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/15/12 at 8:08

gdia-

The p3 troll puts the mad in Madison. His rants and reason don't have to make sense, he is a sore loser like all trolls.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/15/12 at 8:09

Now for the question. Brentwood is special.

By: bfra on 11/15/12 at 8:10

Nemo - Raspy just proves, "lies" are hard to keep straight! If you really want a laugh, read the last few comments on yesterday's board.

By: bfra on 11/15/12 at 8:12

Yes, a lot of posters are here no longer, thanks to the insane, repeating troll. Now a few other trolls smelled his stink & started joining in.

By: gdiafante on 11/15/12 at 8:14

I'm beginning to think the ones who left are on to something. What's the point anymore?

By: Rasputin72 on 11/15/12 at 8:16

Nemo, my light pocketed advesary I forgive you for your limitations. There are people who have homes in Nashville and winter and summer in other places.

I am off for my breakfast walk and will not respond to your rants for sometime.

Lunch? I would suggest you re-read my response of yesterday.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/15/12 at 8:26

You have been in West Palm beach all summer, now you tell us that you haven't. I understand. lol

We can still have lunch, when ever you say you are here. LOL

By: BenDover on 11/15/12 at 8:38

Whoever the idealistic Vandy kids are who are using their daddy's SUV to bus these vagrants from down-town out to the suburbs should be held liable when their charges finish peddling their Contributor rag to the stupid rubes that buy them, then get drunk on a fifth of Thunderbird, and drag one of our pretty little 14 yo daughters behind the Super-Target for a little urban social justice.

This is just a political statement and it's destroying the suburban oasis of normalcy with the blight of disaffected moochism. These damn pan-handlers are bad enough down-town but now wandering the parking lots of suburban Publix stores looking for unlocked cars is just another form of organized crime sponsored by the Contributor and a bunch of well intended student idiots who have yet to learn not to feed the bears.

By: BenDover on 11/15/12 at 8:42

In fairness, Nemo, it was my understanding that Rapspy would be wintering in West Palm not that he had spent the summer there.

The question remains whether West Palm is the one in Florida or the ally behind The Palm and Eddie George's old place down-town but I think he has been consistent about when he planned to venture out.

By: bfra on 11/15/12 at 8:54

I find it amusing how trolls defend trolls & make up excuses when their lies are pointed out.

By: Loner on 11/15/12 at 9:07

Guy walks into a suburban oasis of normalcy....orders a blight of disaffected moochism. Bartender says, "Sorry, buddy, all we got is damn pan-handlers and well intended student idiots".

By: dargent7 on 11/15/12 at 9:11

We'd almost always give the first Contributor salesperson we saw a dollar.
Usually didn't read the paper.
Would pass another 4 salespeople in the AM, saying, "Already bought one..."
Brentwood? I lived in Sylvan Park and we accomodated them.
Here in San Jose' you just have people standing at freeway interchanges with signs, " Disabled Vetran, Please help".

Ask, please answer this: How can a door-to-door solution be construed as wanting to keep them out of the county? Sounds to me like they rolled out the red carpet to their neighborhoods for the "Consequence" to be sold their. Oops. Contributor. So if the Contributor sellers get off their duffs, they can go door to door and possibly make more money. Isn't that the way the Fuller Brush folks made it, along with many others in that category of door to door?

P.S. I don't expect an answer because my comment is too logical for the left brain re-treads to comprehend. Re-tread meaning that your ilk keeps saying the same old thing over and over and you're still blowing tires!

By: Loner on 11/15/12 at 9:21

Dargent's West Coast Report comes in @ 9:11.

Thank you Dargent7, for the advice and the low down on the local low life.

By: BenDover on 11/15/12 at 9:24

D'arge... did you move out there or are you going to make it back to our fair city someday?

By: bfra on 11/15/12 at 9:30

They would be wise not to go to bud's house. With her on record here at the NCP, she will sue with a bat of the eye.

By: yogiman on 11/15/12 at 9:44

The times they are a changing, gdiafante. The US has gotten old and decrepit with the congress we now have. They've begun to think they are our masters. We've been paying them too long to represent us, not themselves as they've begun to feel. Maybe we need a complete new government in DC.

For the states to leave the union now would be like like a divorce. It's gotten to where the federal gang feels they are our employers instead of our employees. Until lawyers specializing in divorce took over, divorces were few and far between. Today you just get in line to get before the judge to say it's okay, you ain't married any longer. Go have fun.

I understand Tennessee is joining other states in their divorce process.

With the federal master we are "married" to now, I'm for a divorce.

The morning has been filled with excitement!

Our neighbor Brentwood has won a small victory over the underclass invasion.

Two of our more intelligent liberals have indicated that they may leave this forum because of contamination. (which is true but not for any reason given by the two)

Yogi with the resolve of a parrot has delivered his daily dose of fervent irrelevancy (which is his right)

Members of the "simple six" have hurled their insults and displeasure from their lower income bunkers.

A vagabon ner do well who left Nashville headed for Key Largo, Florida and wound up in San Jose, California has given us a vivid report of how the homeless portion of the underclass accomplishes their mission in San Jose.

I on the other hand have been invited for a free lunch at the SUBWAY in Brentwood by a very prolific serf who knows not Palm Beach from West Palm Beach nor summer from fall.

This is the "new" America.

By: Loner on 11/15/12 at 9:52

And a report from Thurston Howell III, from his winter residence in the Sunshine State, comes in @ 9:44.

Yes, this IS the new America....online, real time, connected.

Loner - Very appropriate! Now if you can find one about all the contradictions raspy makes in his comments.

By: pswindle on 11/15/12 at 10:07

Let's kick them while they are down. Is that the TN way?

By: bfra on 11/15/12 at 10:07

That one probably fit Raspy better!

By: yogiman on 11/15/12 at 10:08

In a way, Loner, you're amazing; you're a good writer. But in another ways, you're absurd.

In your way of thinking, I'm ridiculous because I'm following what "your man" Barry has written in his autobiography, but you're okay with your rebellious comments against Israel which is coming out of your personal mind.

What makes it more appropriate for your posts but inappropriate for mine?

Hell, fella, I'm older than you so I've got more rights. Senior citizen rights you know. Gimme a break.

By: dargent7 on 11/15/12 at 10:26

"lowclass invasion,,,," Sounds like how Romney would characterize the situation.
Note to self: these "lower class" individuals comprise the "47%" that voted Obama back into the W.H.
