Good Idea. He's setting a good example for his fellow politicians. Too many have been in DC to long. They should go home and let new "men" take over and give us a new government.

One that follows the Constitution.

By: govskeptic on 12/7/12 at 5:47

They come, they go. Huge question for this troubled world?

By: yogiman on 12/7/12 at 5:48

One that won't let someone who refuses to prove who he is (his identity) to usurp the Oval Office.

And no children, none of you know who Barry Soetoro aka Barack Obama is.

Good morning, Nashville.

What do you make of Republican Sen. Jim DeMint's announcement that he'll resign at the end of the year?

DeMint announced the "good reason" to leave the Senate: a million-dollar-year salary to run the Evangelical Christian think tank, "The Heritage Foundation".

One wonders what the real reasons are for DeMint's sudden and unexpected departure....did somebody have dirt on the pompous ass? Was there an ongoing ethics investigation? Who pressured DeMint to leave and why?

The Heritage Foundation should change its name to the "Heretic Foundation"....their perverted view of Christ's message is certainly bogus....they claim that Jesus of Nazareth was a homophobic, virgin, heterosexual stud who believed in self-defense, carrying a weapon and the death penalty....and Jewish nationalism....and tax breaks for the wealthy....and pre-emptive wars etc. etc.

DeMint is no intellectual, the dim bulb will be the guiding light of an infamous hate group....that's a better fit for the theocrat than a US Senate seat....good riddance to DeMint.

By: bfra on 12/7/12 at 6:51

Thanks Loner for the 1st intelligent response of the day!

I don't know anything about him but the more Repubs leaving the government, the better.

By: yogiman on 12/7/12 at 6:56

Then I guess the people of SC are bunch of 'unintellectual' fools; eh, Loner. Not like the brilliant idiots of NY.

By: yogiman on 12/7/12 at 7:03

Yep, bfra, all we need is more of your man's backing to take this nation all the way into communist. Your man Barry will make you a great dictator, I'm sure.

By the way, have you ever figured out who in the hell he is? Have you ever figured out what in the hell he is. You might want to compare him with Adolph Hitler.

Question: Why has he begun the building of his civilian military units? As many as, and as strong as, our military services? I think its to use to take over with he gets their strength built up to the power needed. What do you think they're going to be, just the future Boy Scouts?

By: Loner on 12/7/12 at 7:05

Thanks, Bfra and good morning to you. The governor of SC will appoint a replacement Republican to fill DeMint's seat....a special election will determine if the Governor's choice is also the people's choice....I doubt if that seat will flip over to the Democratic side....unless there is a miracle...Divine Intervention in South Carolina has occurred in the past...like when the white supremacists seceded from the union of American states.... According to Southern Christianity, Jesus told the South to secede....apparently Jesus hated African Negro slaves and the damned yankees...and Jeff Davis and Jesus were good buddies.

By: bfra on 12/7/12 at 7:17

Good morning Loner - We would be a lot better off if more of them would leave public office & be replaced by someone that has the general public's interest, instead of their own self-serving plans. They are elected to serve the public, which most forget about when elected.

By: parnell3rd on 12/7/12 at 7:17

They all need to go! May I suggest reading the book Term Limits by Vince Flynn. It is fiction but a great book to read!
His book discuses the grand idea of Term Limits!

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/7/12 at 7:37

One less teapublican in the Senate. Good riddance!

By: yogiman on 12/7/12 at 7:43

parnell3rd,

If memory serves me correctly, one of the first bills Harry Truman got passed was the term limit for the president's office. He also wanted to add the Senate and House seats to that bill but that was a no-go with congress so Truman settled with the president's term limit.

Hell, who want to give up a job in their career. Too good of a pay for doing so little. After all, all they have to do is run for re-election once they sucker the people to vote them in. We fools furnish them with the buck to hire employees to do their work for them.

They're too busy running for re-election.

By: yogiman on 12/7/12 at 7:44

Now we have to work on them dumbolecrapers, eh, B2?

By: Captain Nemo on 12/7/12 at 8:08

If you did not see yesterdays late post The Rat is going to Europe . He sure is going to be surprised when he discovers that he can't get there by The Bus. LOL

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/7/12 at 8:14

He probably couldn't pay his bill for internet connection and had to make an excuse for his absence. LOL

TGIF!

By: Captain Nemo on 12/7/12 at 8:16

The Tea Party is losing support and power. DeMint is going to cash in on this sinking ship, like Loner said. Rack in as much money as he can from a depleting Tea Bag MINT.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/7/12 at 8:18

I shamed him when I pointed out that he was of a lower class the Warren Bufette.

http://money.cnn.com/2012/12/07/news/economy/november-jobs-report/?hpt=hp_t1

Modest hiring continued in November and the unemployment rate fell to its lowest level in nearly four years, according to a report released Friday.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/7/12 at 8:22

My work sure can see that, Blanket.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/7/12 at 8:26

You don't notice any of the rabid right posters here being happy about things improving. The jobless rate is going down and Apple is moving its manufacturing to the U.S. They would rather see the country burn than for Obama's policies to work. That is pathetic and not the actions of a true patriot.

Democrats watch in awe as McConnell filibusters himself

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/12/06/democrats-watch-in-awe-as-mcconnell-filibusters-himself/#.UMEctRnCeTA.reddit

What an ass - lol!

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/7/12 at 8:43

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) introduced legislation to raise the debt ceiling on Thursday, apparently with the intent of showing that even Democrats would not support such a bill.

However, McConnell’s plan backfired after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) called for a vote on the legislation, which would have given the president the authority to raise the federal debt ceiling on his own. The top Senate Republican was forced to filibuster his own bill.

“What we have here is a case of Republicans here in the Senate once again not taking ‘yes’ for an answer,” Reid said, after McConnell announced his filibuster. “This morning the Republican leader asked consent to have a vote on this proposal, just now I told everyone we were willing to have that vote — up or down vote. Now the Republican leader objects to his own idea. So I guess we have a filibuster of his own bill, so I object.”

By: gdiafante on 12/7/12 at 9:02

McConnell's a dumbass. He needs to do what DeMint did. So do all the other obstructionists.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/7/12 at 9:03

I agree. That clearly shows that they are more worried about political games than solving problems and representing their constituents.

By: gdiafante on 12/7/12 at 9:07

It must really torque the teabaggers to see more tangible proof that Obama isn't destroying our country. The fact of the matter is that they have done more damage than Obama or anyone else. I think the rest of America is starting to see this too.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/7/12 at 9:08

Finally.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/7/12 at 9:14

They should replace De Mint with Stephen Colbert. :)

By: gdiafante on 12/7/12 at 9:17

I thought the same thing. Couldn't be much worse than DeMint.

By: pswindle on 12/7/12 at 9:29

Good things happpen if one waits. Good=Bye Jim. You stayed too long at the party. I agree with Loner, he is not smart, but a smart a$$.

By: bfra on 12/7/12 at 9:38

What's good for the Country, on a smaller note, just look what the ones on the right are posting on this board.

By: bfra on 12/7/12 at 9:40

This might be of interest for our rightwing nuts:

Demint is not stupid. He sees the writing on the wall and knows that his power in the Senate is going to be waning. Plus, I think that the GOP "powers that be" see him as and impediment to the party being viewed as anything other than a pack of right wing extremists. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the "powers" may have even had a hand in pushing Demint out the door.

gdiafante said

"It must really torque the teabaggers to see more tangible proof that Obama isn't destroying our country."

Ideology always trumps tangible proof. Apparently the fever that has gripped the GOP
the past few years has still not been broken.

By: gdiafante on 12/7/12 at 9:46

I would hope you're right, brrrrk. The faster they move those nuts out, the faster this country can move forward.

By: yogiman on 12/7/12 at 9:52

I guess the Republicans are much worse than the Democrat, eh, gdiafante? So I guess Romney would automatically be a much worse president that Barry's turning out to be even though he knew how to handle money like a multimillionaire.

Other than work as a government service clerk, what has Barry ever done?

Oh, I'm sorry, I remember, he was in the Illinois Senate for part of a term and the National Senate for 2 years. Damn, what a brilliant man. He sure learned how to run this country deeper into debt, didn't he. WOW, deeper than all presidents combined before him. What a man! Sure would be good if he was in there legally.

By: yogiman on 12/7/12 at 9:56

Well, brrrrk,

If you had a choice between a million dollar a year job, or senate position you might get beat on re-election, which one would you take?

That man ain't no damn fool.

By: gdiafante on 12/7/12 at 10:01

Quit your whining, baby.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/7/12 at 10:05

But you are yogi.

By: brrrrk on 12/7/12 at 10:07

As I said, ideology always trumps tangible proof.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/7/12 at 10:07

8:38 yogi says We.. dumbass. You speak for yourself.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/7/12 at 10:10

The proof be yogi and Ratsputin are stooges for stupidity and yogi kisses it with readiness.

By: bfra on 12/7/12 at 10:13

We can always hope that enough of the GOP didn't buy into Mitt's threat that the GOP would ruin the economy if he wasn't elected.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/7/12 at 10:34

I think the GOP is beginning to realize that if they don't purge some of the teapubs they have little to no chance of survival.

By: yogiman on 12/7/12 at 11:46

Interesting. What do you think of Barry giving the UN billions of our money?

www.wnd.com/2012/12/senator-says-obama-sent-billions-to-u-n/

That's our money, damn it, not his. We have been over supporting them from the beginning. That's the worst program Harry Truman instigated.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/7/12 at 11:57

He cannot spend money without the approval of the Congress. The President is helpless in spending money, he cannot authorize the spending of money. He can veto when it arrives at his desk.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Can_the_president_spend_money_without_Congress'_approval

yogi, you are a few clowns short of a circus. Now quit begging for attention and go change your diapers.

I am already sick of hearing about the British Royals and the Divine Right fetus being carried by Princess Kate...but this royal farce has turned tragic:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2244608/Jacintha-Saldanha-Excellent-nurse-took-Kate-Middleton-hoax-phone-dead-suspected-suicide.html

Not so funny anymore.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/7/12 at 12:01

I saw that on reddit. They haven't disclosed cause of death but they suspect suicide, right?

By: Loner on 12/7/12 at 12:11

Unlike the French, the British did not use the guillotine to cut-off the royal lineage after the place became a democracy. For some strange reason, the people kept their royals and they continue to pamper the select family with fawning adulation and which all that entails. It's like a British cult religion....bizarre and senseless....pathetic pompous poop.

The royals ought to be stripped of all their titles, lands and ill-gotten wealth...let them get some blisters and callouses on their royal palms....."GET A JOB!!!", is what the British should be telling the royal do-nothings.

By: Loner on 12/7/12 at 12:14

Yeah, they suspect the duped nurse killed herself out of shame for letting the royals down....the nurse's family should sue the Australian Radio station that pulled off the deadly hoax.....their prank backfired...and they should pay for that.
