Great image, Captain Nemo....."NOPE".....beautiful.

By: BigPapa on 11/7/12 at 10:22

@ bud
So we can't discuss any other issues until everyone in NY and NJ are fully functional?

Seriously we just had a presidential election, that's pretty big. Also the GOP was spurned pretty resoundingly for the 2nd time. They need to look in the mirror and listen to the American public. Most people are NOT on board with the far far religious right.

By: dargent7 on 11/7/12 at 10:23

Romney will pull a loser McCain style now for the next 4 months. Maybe become a FOX analysist.
These white relics from the 50's don't know or comprehend they LOST.
I don't get FOX News here; but can only imagine the news crew and set on the "curvey couch",
The attack dogs: Morris, Maulkin, Coulter, Rove(!), Trump, .....what can they possibly say?
One said it best: "Trying to pass Romney off as a man of the people, was like trying to pass a gall stone".

By: Moonglow1 on 11/7/12 at 10:26

Moonglow1: The people of the United States prevailed against citizen's united, billionaire agendas, voter suppression, religious extremism, intolerance, and endless wars. We won!!!

By: Loner on 11/7/12 at 10:29

Darge! Spot on! LOL.

We have heard a report from the West Coast...Dargent7 is keeping the NCP faith...out there, on the Left Coast...it's supposed to get up to 42F here, on the Erie Canal, today...San Jose's sunny warmth has got to feel good this morning.

By: Loner on 11/7/12 at 10:30

Well said, Moonglow....well said.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/7/12 at 10:37

I would like to say that I have no ill feeling to most that voted for Romney. However I can not say the same for the fringe trolls. My sharp post are for this and only this; Rasputin, bud, yogi and little bitty p3.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 11/7/12 at 10:38

I agree, Nemo. It's far past time for all of us to work together. The fringe doesn't want to cooperate - they would rather see the country distroyed. The moderate Republicans will do what's best for the country and work with the Dems.

By: Loner on 11/7/12 at 10:39

Unlike Senator McCain, Romney cannot get even with BHO politically.

There ought to be a law that if and when somebody runs for POTUS or VPOTUS, if they lose, they are out of national politics for the ensuing 4 years....they'd have to run for election all over again after a four year hiatus, if they wished to re-enter federal politics.

Senator John McCain, the problematic loser, has led the snarling, yapping pack of GOP attack dogs for the past four years...and McCain's man, the draft-dodger, just lost...McCain is pissed...what will the old geezer do now? Senator McCain is a menace to society, IMO...his mind appears to be addled.

By: Moonglow1 on 11/7/12 at 10:39

Moonglow1: Now we need to work on getting TN out of the dark ages. Crime is way up in lock step with lack of gun control and lousy tea party politicians. We successfully voted out the Teas in the national election but we are stuck with them in TN.

I think the criminal Desjarlais won. Goes to show in TN you can thumb your nose at the Hippocratic Oath and get elected. What a sad day for the medical profession. And Haslam supports this behavior.

All TN tea's should be "aborted" from the state.

Now that Adelson & The Koch's have lost the national election, they should exit from our local politics.

You billionaires are supposed to be "job creators" so do it. Create some jobs in the USA, not in Israel, not in Macua, but here. Take your sick views and get out of TN politics. Out!!!

TN dems will come back. Why? With the fiasco that is our legislative body, we will continue with high crime, poor education, low bond rating, and business re-locating elsewhere. At least Davidson County is democratic.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/7/12 at 10:43

It has been predicted, that Georgia, Arizona and Texas will turn Blue with in the next few cycles.

By: Loner on 11/7/12 at 10:47

Paul Ryan is still in national politics, he can sit back and carp for the next four years...McCain style.

Will the GOP fail to get the message? Will they go further to the right and nominate Santorum in 2016?

Loaded with gullible believers, the GOP may be incapable of collective rational thought and reform based upon fresh information, new technologies and a rapidly evolving new paradigm.

Slick Tricky Dick Nixon reached out to the Southern segregationists and Bible-thumpers...the chickens have finally come home to roost.

By: yogiman on 11/7/12 at 10:48

You "experts" should know its easier to accuse than it is to prove. So how about showing proof when you so readily make accusations.

By: Ummm... on 11/7/12 at 10:49

Loner, you may find it appropriate to denigrate me by comparing me with "Rasputin." I would however, defend myself by saying that the ability to use language correctly is of vital importance in virtually all arts and sciences, and I certainly will not apologize for having high standards in that regard. I'm sorry you find that offensive, and I admire your generosity of spirit. Perhaps you should try and extend that generosity in larger measure to those you condemn so frequently (the Israelis).

By: Blanketnazi2 on 11/7/12 at 10:49

yogi is suffering from Republican Butthurt!!!! Obamacare covers that, yogi. Even if it is a pre-existing condition!

By: Moonglow1 on 11/7/12 at 10:50

Moonglow1: Loner, agree on John McCain and also his good buddy Lindsey Graham-old geezer's and war mongers. Stick their pictures on a poster board for term limits.

To all multinationals: Obama won suckers. So now that you've spent $6 billion of shareholder money betting the US public would vote against their own interests, you should take that money and bet on jobs in the USA. Cancel your ALEC membership and innovate! Do something other than complain about regulation. Or wait, hydrofrack on Romney's lake house property. Ah yes, lack of regulation when it affects the masses, but not in your back yard.

Translation;

I can make up anything I want to and you can't prove that I am insane.

By: BigPapa on 11/7/12 at 10:52

Yeah, I wonder what it's like in the offices that truly decide who is going to run? Do they look at each other and say "Yep, he got beat, we should have run someone MORE conservative!"
Are there too many same thing people in one place? The Dems went through their spell before stumbling on to Bill Clinton. Could the GOP be out of the white house for 16 -20 years?

By: Loner on 11/7/12 at 10:54

The Tea Baggers are on the run nationally...Akin & Mourdock both lost...but the Baggers have hunkered down in Davy Crockett country....Crockett used his shooting iron for defense and survival...today, all a Tennessee politician has to do is shave his head and stick a hand gun in his mouth to survive and win elections...Davy Crockett, where are you?

By: BigPapa on 11/7/12 at 10:56

same thinking^

By: BenDover on 11/7/12 at 10:57

It was the Bill Clinton and Colin Powell commercials that put Obama over the top.

Barry owes Bill a Monica.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 11/7/12 at 10:57

BigPapa, it would be good to have a viable, moderate Republican run in the next election. I don't want the resentment and alienation of the moderates for the next 16-20 years. We need to act as one. The GOP needs to redefine itself for its own good and the good of the country.

By: brrrrk on 11/7/12 at 10:57

One word..... :-)

By: Blanketnazi2 on 11/7/12 at 10:58

Grow up, Ben. Seriously? I figured you were better than that.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/7/12 at 10:59

Loner, Crockett was kill by Mexicans, so will the Tea Baggers.

By: bfra on 11/7/12 at 10:59

Blanket - yogi suffers from an empty cavity where a brain should be & I don't think any insurance covers that.

By: yogiman on 11/7/12 at 11:02

So, according you your man Barry Soetoro, if Puerto Rico becomes a state that will make us a Union of 61 states, right. B2?

By: bfra on 11/7/12 at 11:02

Blankey - What would expect from yogi's brother (Ben)?

By: bfra on 11/7/12 at 11:04

Blanket - Sorry about the "y"!

By: Loner on 11/7/12 at 11:04

Professor Ummm is upset..uh, oh...I'm gonna get a bad grade now.

I might have shine a nice New York state McIntosh apple for the dedicated language scholar....I don't want to flunk out of Doctor Ummm's class....I'd lose my NYS Scholarship & NYS Stipend...I'd have to find a job and go to WORK.

By: BenDover on 11/7/12 at 11:05

Without Bill's convention speech and the 24/7 commercials on the weather channel Barry would have been toast. Bill is a fantastic liar and Barry is very fortunate that Bill took on his cause.

The other credit for Barry's win goes to George Bush. It IS George Bush's fault that he never defended himself against his critics and allowed the damaged conservative brand to be the inevitable crutch upon which Obama's policy failures all rested.

By: Loner on 11/7/12 at 11:07

Uh oh...correction: S/H/B: "I might have to shine a nice New York state McIntosh apple for the dedicated language scholar...." I originally used the infinitive form of the verb "shine" without the required prepositional "to"....mea culpa.

By: slacker on 11/7/12 at 11:07

Ben, Monica's releasing a tell-all book, about her affair with The Bill'' She's ''blowing the whistle'' on the entire story.

By: bfra on 11/7/12 at 11:10

Ben you imagination is really working overtime this AM! Face it, your little rich, tax dodger, war monger LOST.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/7/12 at 11:10

Now Ben you are starting to sound like a sore looser. But I did like the one about Monica. lol

By: Blanketnazi2 on 11/7/12 at 11:11

bfra, I don't think there is a cure for that either.

By: Loner on 11/7/12 at 11:12

Ben Dover has had an epiphany...he wrote: " It IS George Bush's fault that he never defended himself against his critics and allowed the damaged conservative brand to be the inevitable crutch upon which Obama's policy failures all rested."

Sort of. Ben does not actually concede that Junior Bush blew the job, but he has conceded that his maligned hero is tragically flawed....that's a start.

By: gdiafante on 11/7/12 at 11:13

Sorry I'm late to the party...Ben's throwing a tantrum again...time for a time out, buddy.

[click]

Congrats to Obama and America. They didn't buy the bullshit (well, at least enought didn't. A mandate it's not.

There'll be no time to celebrate for Obama, the fiscal cliff is looming. I'd like to see him bitch-slap the house Republicans a few times...

By: yogiman on 11/7/12 at 11:15

Well, B2,

So you're accusing me of being an imbecile; which one are you, a fellow imbecile or a complete idiot?

By: gdiafante on 11/7/12 at 11:16

I wrote from my phone, excuse the grammatical errors.

By: Loner on 11/7/12 at 11:17

Captain Nemo made a good point, Crockett was killed by Mexicans...the Tea Baggers holed up in Crockett country may face a similar fate....interesting notion.

Slack is cracking me up...as usual...this board is hot this morning.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/7/12 at 11:18

I was taken back by that too, Loner.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 11/7/12 at 11:20

Yes, time to face the fiscal cliff. This time let's try to fix it instead of buying time.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/7/12 at 11:21

Well, B2,

So you're accusing me of being an imbecile; which one are you, a fellow imbecile or a complete idiot?

Translation;

That is me you is (SIC) talking about. I am the only imbecile, YPOU HERE THAT?

By: gdiafante on 11/7/12 at 11:23

All indications are the GOP still believe it's their way or nothing. Do they realize just how stupid they look?

By: slacker on 11/7/12 at 11:23

Poor Davy lost his congressional re-election bid.. gets pissed off, heads to Texas, and gets whacked by Santa Anna's band of illegals.

By: Captain Nemo on 11/7/12 at 11:24

I’m headed out toward the Carolinas now. There is an emergency with a client and like it or not I am they only one they want. This maybe a two day job or longer if the storm is has bad as it looks. I hope all I will get is rain, if anything.

Too bad too this looked as if yogi will have a heart attack and I will miss out on it.

By: Loner on 11/7/12 at 11:25

Looks like Reaganomics, Trickle Down, Voodoo Economics, Deregulation, Union-busting, Corporate Welfare, Insider Trading, Sweetheart Contracts, Outsourcing, War-mongering, Holy War and Fracking all went down in flames last night.....what sort of a Republican Phoenix will rise from the ashes of utter defeat? Or is the hideous creature dead?

By: brrrrk on 11/7/12 at 11:26

Blanketnazi2 said

"Grow up, Ben. Seriously? I figured you were better than that."

I used to think that too.... but that was before he hopped aboard the Yogi express... Wooooooooo, Woo, Wooooooooooooooooooooo........ chugga, chugga, chugga....

By: bfra on 11/7/12 at 11:27

Loner - The hideous creature isn't completely dead, they didn't cut off yogi's empty head.
