Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 2:00am

Now, after all of the presidential debates are done, what questions remain for the candidates? Do you see either candidate riding any momentum out of the debates?

Later, Loner.

LOL Blanket - You've got the Raspy pegged!

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 12:06

He lives a couple zip codes over from The Nations. It is a much better zip code and he was able to find subsidized senior housing there. Definitely a step up.

By: slacker on 10/24/12 at 12:09

nazi, as you probably know, he's been posting for years in the CP & the other daily. He occasionally changes his handle, but his childish mutterings lingers on.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 12:09

Yes it does, slacker.

By: slacker on 10/24/12 at 12:12

I assumed he was retired from the Ford glass plant.. it fits.

Chuck Norris doesn't shave because he can't find a razor that will try to cut his beard.

The only men (and women) who shave will look at themselves as they shave are the egotistical ones who love looking at themselves. Wonder how many of them we have on this site?

The ones that want to shave their beard off and don't want to cut a slab off of their face only look at their beard.

I'll bet Raspy will be shocked to see his picture on this board. LOL

Blanket - I saw that & Judge Alred (sp) is on to him.

By: yogiman on 10/24/12 at 12:32

Would "Raspy" become your neighbor, B2? WOW! I'd like to live in that apartment across the street until y'all got to know each other. That could be a good show.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 12:36

Perjury is a pretty serious offense, bfra.

By: bfra on 10/24/12 at 12:40

I hope they pin his pompous butt to the wall.

By: brrrrk on 10/24/12 at 12:44

Just heard that Bain is now threatening to shut down the Sensata plant immediately if the protesters even attempt to communicate with management.

Nothing like kicking a man when he's down.....

By: yogiman on 10/24/12 at 12:50

You need to re-read that article, B2. It was an accusation, not a charge with proof offered.

What if I claimed you was a whore? Would you be if I couldn't offer proof?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 12:54

People should be paying attention to what's going on at Sensata.

By: BenDover on 10/24/12 at 12:55

Dang... the Donald is short-changing here. The Nobel Peace committee gave Obama $1.4M for simply not being George W. Bush. You'd think the Don could step it up a bit to get Obama to finally come clean with the voters about his past.

Is Obama required to give it up before the election to collect?

By: yogiman on 10/24/12 at 12:59

Well, I see Trump's offer is to donate 5 million to Barry's charities if he will release his college records and his passport records. He simply has to release those papers by October 31st.

My question then becomes, what makes you think those records are all of his records as required and are legal records?

By: BenDover on 10/24/12 at 1:00

Looks like they are giving the media an assist in burying the Trump anti-climatic offer by announcing a lawsuit against BoA for a billion bucks.

Sensata told the Freeport plant employees in early 2011 that their jobs would be relocated to China by December of this year, and that workers must train their replacements. This is despite the fact that Sensata has turned a consistent profit, even while paying these employees an average of $17 an hour for eight-hour shifts.

Sensata employees in China can expect to be paid $1 an hour to work twelve-hour shifts, according to a report by the Institute for Global Labour and Human Rights.

Workers in Freeport have shrewdly centered attention on the fact that Bain Capital, a Boston-based private equity firm, owns Sensata. Bain is, of course, co-founded and formerly run by Mitt Romney, the Republican presidential nominee.

By: brrrrk on 10/24/12 at 1:07

Did you know that when the workers from China were being trained at the plant, Bain had Sensata remove the American flag from the flagpole in front of the plant?

By: bfra on 10/24/12 at 1:09

If truth be told, Romney is probably still running Bain on the sly.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 1:09

Yeah, I remember hearing about that. However, the teapartiers just put on the blinders.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 1:10

I think he is, bfra. He's a control freak - I can't see him giving up that level of control. His ego couldn't take it.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 1:19

Poor Mitt has to lick his wounds after the last debate. I bet they taste like hair dye and failure.

By: yogiman on 10/24/12 at 1:31

So, B2,

What was Sensata like when Romney was in charge? Was he the one who made the decision to sell?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 1:36

Romney's entire economic premise is that it is the role of the Shareholder, not government, to oversee businesses reach optimal results. Therefore, according to Senata spokesman, Bain knew in advance of purchasing Sensata in Freeport, that they, Bain, was planning to close the plant as part of the Deal.

Mitt Romney was not just a "shareholder" in Sensata, Romney had "Partnership Distribution" status on his Federal Tax Returns in 2010 and 2011.

By: yogiman on 10/24/12 at 1:37

Can't stand to be refuted, can you, bfra? But don't feel alone, you have several buddies on this site.

By: bfra on 10/24/12 at 1:40

By: yogiman on 10/24/12 at 1:45

I hate to tell you guys this, children, but you can have your jobs (if you're employed) sold out from under you. It can happen with any company and at any time. So if you're told not to come back tomorrow, don't worry about it.

I went to work one night and was told we didn't have our contract at the site I was working in. Bingo, work this shift and don't come back.

By: bfra on 10/24/12 at 1:47

By: bfra on 10/24/12 at 1:49

The righties on this board can make up more excuses for Romney than even Romney himself can think up.

By: BigPapa on 10/24/12 at 2:08

I have to ask.

So let's say Romey pulls it off and actually wins.

What in the hell will you guys on here do? You heads might explode.

You've had the most liberal president in the history of the country for 4 yrs, you had Nancy Pelosie off all folks running the Congress. You got a big win with Obamacare.. What else do you want?

By: bfra on 10/24/12 at 2:16

It will be a heck of a lot better than having a warmonger itching to get us into another war. Having someone in there that knows nothing of foreign policy or even where the Countries are. There is so little Romney has to offer as President, this board won't hold them all.

By: bfra on 10/24/12 at 2:17

Oh, and the board faired just fine, before this election ever got started.

By: yogiman on 10/24/12 at 2:18

Well, bfra, since you're right, how about offering one proof of your accusations? Proof, mind you, not just an accusation.

What if I accused you to be a companion whore with B2? Would I be right?

An accusation is just that, an accusation. And proof is that, proof. So quit making ignorant accusations. Quote proof.

By: bfra on 10/24/12 at 2:20

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 2:24

BigPapa, actually if you look at Obama's policies he is more of a centrist. He most certainly is not far left.

By: yogiman on 10/24/12 at 2:28

I have to disagree with you BigPapa. Barry Soetoro aka Barack Obama is not the President. He is a usurper permitted to act by Congress.

Just going by his autobiography tells you he isn't Constitutionally eligible for that position. So the biggest question we should all be asking: Why did congress allow this to happen?

Really, going by his autobiography, is he an American citizen? He can't be. So many people are going to be shocked to be made the idiots they are by... guess who: Barry Soetoro.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 2:33

For the record, I am not part of the 47% and what is sad is that many of the posters who are against Obama are among the 47%. What's sad is if they end up voting against funding for the very services they need. I guess they may figure that out too late.

By: bfra on 10/24/12 at 2:42

Blanket - That is what I don't understand. Romney is for no one except the top 1%.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 2:48

I don't get it either. I have known people who will go against what is in their best interest out of spite or just to do another person harm. That's a sign of immaturity, IMO. But when it reaches this level it really makes me wonder.
