Those "debates" are good shows. Well planned and entertaining.

By: pswindle on 10/11/11 at 11:22

A bunch of silly old men and one uninformed female. What a sorry lot.

By: dargent7 on 10/12/11 at 3:43

I wouldn't watch that gaggle "debate" anything. Bunch of fakes, phonies, liars.
These "straw" polls are a waste of time.
I am interested who will eventually drop out sooner than later and who will get the nomination. As well as who he picks as his running mate.
Romney/ Cain would be a good ticket.
Regardless, unless hell freezes over, Obama will win handily.

By: dargent7 on 10/12/11 at 4:41

psw'l: I believe Bachmann is transgender.

By: dargent7 on 10/12/11 at 6:20

My, God.
In the old days we'd have 100 posts by now.
Where's everybody?
At the "Occupy Wall Street" rallys?

Good morning, Nashville.

I missed the TP-GOP debate last night. I agree with Darge, none of the candidates currently running are going to unseat President Obama.

Cahstised and rebuked, Obama has done one-eighties on key issues in the last six months; he is that desperate to win another term. His original plans have been scrapped; now he just wants to avoid being a one-termer....at any cost.

Last June, Obama's Justice Dept. sent out memos to federal prosecutors urging them to crack down on the medical marijuana dispensaries in those states with medical marijuana programs. Landlords are being threatened with seizure of their properties, if they don't evict the dispensaries from their properties, etc. It's back to the Bush-Cheney stone age...Obama got his mind right.

Last May, Netanyahu got 36 standing O's before the US Congress, meanwhile Obama was booed at the AIPAC event. Obama saw the light, now he is all pro-Israel, screw the Palestinians; again, Obama got his mind right, boss.

If Obama can retain the support of the Israel lobby and the Cannabis prohibition lobby, no TP-GOP candidate will be able to touch him....he done got his mind right.

By: Loner on 10/12/11 at 6:26

S/H/B "chastised", not "cahstised"...my bad.

By: govskeptic on 10/12/11 at 6:29

With the limited exposure this debate received on "Bloomberg TV", I'd be
surprised if 95% of CP or poster's even received that channel to
comment. With Christie's endorsement of Mitt, the National Party
Insider's have finally decided who they will deliver as "Their" choice
for the party to support. The surprise may just be that Romney wins
NH but doesn't carry a single state on Super Tuesday!

By: dargent7 on 10/12/11 at 6:37

...this just in...Romney is sitting next to Christie giving interviews.
The "simp and the blimp".

By: budlight on 10/12/11 at 6:45

The Herman-Cain will unseat Obama easily. Obama is a fish flipping and flopping in and out of the shallow stream he swims in. Eventually he'll flop one time too many and end up on dry land. And we all know how he stinks already; imagine the smell when he's beached permanently! Bye Bye Barack! Hello Ethical President!

Once again, regarding the stinkers who are occupying wallstreet or any other street: They need to GET a JOB and then plan to become wealthy. Most people are not wealthy due to poor planning, poor money management, low ideals and just plain uninformed about how to get there. (I am one of those and I admit it - just never planned well).

By: yogiman on 10/12/11 at 6:45

Ain't woke up yet, Loner? Well, to wake you up, I hate to tell you Obama did not WIN that office in 2008, he usurped it..., with Congress' consent.

Its going to be interesting to see if we [in fact] have an election next year. He is currently placing this nation in a position to declare a state of emergency and take over by martial law. Baloney? Wait and see... and I do hope I'm wrong.

By: dargent7 on 10/12/11 at 6:46

Tell you what: I'd vote for a Romney/ Cain ticket in a minute.
Both have private sector experience and I'm fed up with Obama's posse' of Gietner and Holder.
I think Obama's great, but he's had his time in the sun.
Turn the reins over to professionals.

By: yogiman on 10/12/11 at 6:51

budlight, didn't you know those creeps have a job? I heard on Micheal Savage's show last night they're making 22 bucks and hour plus overtime in their playing that game.

By: yogiman on 10/12/11 at 6:59

You say you're a Romney "fan" and think Obama's great. Have you not heard Obama got his plans for Obamacare from Romney's Romneycare?

If we are fortunate enough to have one, next year will be the most important election in American history.

It will be the be the most devastating for America if Soetoro repeats his usurpation of office. It will be the best if America's citizens are allowed to get him out.

By: Loner on 10/12/11 at 7:12

Yogiman wrote: "budlight, didn't you know those creeps have a job? I heard on Micheal Savage's show last night they're making 22 bucks and hour plus overtime in their playing that game." (End quote.)

Savage's venom permeates down to Nashville too? I shouldn't be surprised...he's nationwide now. Savage is a de facto, if not paid Israeli agent; but it doesn't stop there...the man is a 1-man hate band.

The agents provocateurs* may be making 22 bucks an hour plus overtime....Mike Savage would be privy to that kind of inside information.

Yogi, FYI:

*Traditionally, an agent provocateur (plural: agents provocateurs, French for "inciting agent(s)") is a person employed by the police or other entity to act undercover to entice or provoke another person to commit an illegal act. More generally, the term may refer to a person or group that seeks to discredit or harm another by provoking them to commit a wrong or rash action.

As a known tool to prevent infiltration by agents provocateurs, the organizers of large or controversial assemblies may deploy and coordinate demonstration marshals, also called stewards.

By: Loner on 10/12/11 at 7:31

Yogi calls the president a usurper, others call him a reneger.

Some insist that Obama's a Muslim, a Communist and a Socialist....an illegal alien...a second class American citizen, not fully qualified by law to be the US President.

Some even claim that Obama is an anti-Semite and an enemy of Israel and the Jewish People..

I mean, come on, these are outrageous and unprecedented charges...I know of no other similar charges being leveled at a sitting US President in modern times. The right-wing and Christian talk shows are ripping this guy without mercy, around the clock. Some nut-job(s) may take a swipe at President Obama...the 2nd Amendment types hate Obama's guts.

By: Loner on 10/12/11 at 7:48

Romney-Cain in 2012, Darge? Magic underwear...with cheese, pepperoni and mushrooms....you gotta be kidding.

The Latter Day Heretic and Herman, the Pie-man?

Angel Moroni's Golden Plates* and God the Father Pizza?

*The Angel Moroni (play /mɒˈroʊnaɪ/) is an angel that Joseph Smith, Jr. said visited him on numerous occasions, beginning on September 21, 1823. According to Smith, the angel was the guardian of the golden plates, which Latter Day Saints believe were the source material for the Book of Mormon, buried in a hill near his home in western New York. Moroni is an important figure in the theology of the Latter Day Saint movement, and is featured prominently in Mormon architecture and art. Three Witnesses besides Joseph Smith also reported that they saw Moroni in visions in 1829, as did several other witnesses who each said they had their own vision.

By: Loner on 10/12/11 at 7:58

The Romney-Cain rallies could feature free Godfather pizza, served on gold-colored paper plates, the "golden" paper plates could feature the image of Angel Moroni....yes sir, it's going to take creative marketing to sell that Romney-Cain ticket...the born-agains are slow to warm up to this colorful pairing.

By: BenDover on 10/12/11 at 7:59

I like Cain. I don't think Christian conservatives will turn out for Romney. Even though they see Obama do that involuntary wink every time he says he's a Christian I think the Mormon thing might trump it. Big fail on Bachman's part with the flip-it for 666 reference to Cain's 999 plan.

By: BenDover on 10/12/11 at 7:59

You can put a fork in her now... she's done.

By: BenDover on 10/12/11 at 8:00

Perry has no momentum but a big pocket full of cash.

By: yogiman on 10/12/11 at 8:02

You are right on the issue no similar charges have ever been make on a sitting US President..., because they were not justified. All presidents before Barry Soetoro were in tha office legally. Barry ain't. He is a usurper. [period]

Unless it has replaced the Sears catalog in the outhouse the Constitution is the laws of our nation. I hope will read it. Just read Article II, Section 1, Paragraph 5 that stipulates the requirement to become the President of our nation. Barry Soetoro does not fit that requirement.

Read "104 FIRST CONGRESS,II. Cn 4. 1790 and note what those congressmen determined as the qualifications as a natural born citizen to gain the president's office.

First, if he was legally eligible, why do you think "Barack Obama" has spent over 2 million dollars to keep all of his papers under lock and key. No one in that ofgfice before him has done that.

If, according to his "autobiography", he was adopted by his Indonesian stepfather, he lost his American citizenship. Even if he was a natural born citizen, once you loose that citizenship, you cannot get it back.

If..., after his mother's divorce from his stepfather, and after he reached adulthood, he decided he wanted to return to American citizenship (if he ever was one) and take his original name back, why wouldn't he let the world know that?

Loner, I hate to tell you this, but "Barack Obama" (as y9ou know him) is not legally in that office. He is a usurper. But what worries me more is the fact our so-call congress allowed it to happen.

If this usurpation goes all the way through, I feel sorry for the nation our grandchildren are inheriting.

By: BenDover on 10/12/11 at 8:02

We can all thank Florida for ruining re-runs of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and A Christmas Story with wall-to-wall campaign commercials I guess.

By: yogiman on 10/12/11 at 8:08

Look a little farther down the line: the paternal side of "Obama's" family are Muslims. The maternal side of his fami9lyu are communist. His step-father was a Muslim All of the children he was raised with were Muslims. All of his youthful "advisors" were communist and Muslims. His 20+ year 'preacher' was an obvious America hater (if not, why did he drop out of that church after taking the Oval Office? And he wasn't "influenced" all of those years?

By: yogiman on 10/12/11 at 8:13

Sorry, typing too fast and didn't editt. Made a couple of boo boos.

By: dargent7 on 10/12/11 at 8:15

L'ner: It's all strategy and pure luck.
I spoke too soon about Romney.
He's suckin' Christie's d*** for a "recommendation" which, means, exactly what?
He knows Cain's a loser and too black for America.
So, a bloated fat man gets the nod.
Welcome to America.

By: yogiman on 10/12/11 at 8:16

Well, gotta go to town. Y'all can have a easy day until I get back. Maybe you can find enough evidence to back up your favored usurper.

By: Loner on 10/12/11 at 8:18

Ben is right, Gov. Perry has plenty of cash and he may be a sore loser, he has never lost a campaign, according to reports.

And I agree, the 999 as 666 is not that cute...Bachmann should leave the schtick to the pros.

Cain has never held elected office, to my knowledge...that naivete could and surely would be exploited by those who donated to his campaign....even Junior Bush had better bona fides for the job....and Bush was the Follower In Chief...Cheney and the neocons called the shots....junior signed papers and posed for presidential pictures.

"I thought it was the price of a pizza when I first heard it."
Jon Huntsman-

"Mitt's had six years to be working on a plan. I've been in this for about eight weeks." Rick Perry-

"The 999 plan isn't a jobs plan, it is a tax plan. ...When you take the 9-9-9 plan and turn it upside down, I think the devil's in the details."
Michele Bachmann-

By: Captain Nemo on 10/12/11 at 8:34

"In fact, Chris Dodd and I were in the minority from 1995 until 2006, so Gingrich is blaming us for Republican failures. I think that a man like Newt Gingrich who is as impressed as he is with his own intellect is a little unsettled by the fact that he is running behind Michele Bachmann in the polls."
Rep. Barney Frank-

By: Loner on 10/12/11 at 8:37

Mitt Romney has not yet donned the yarmulke and slipped the prayer paper into the Wailing Wall, as every successful presidential candidate has done, starting with Bill Clinton.

Herman "Herb" Cain made the pilgrimage, Huckabee and Palin did too....even Rudi Guliani has performed the required act of fealty and solidarity.

Apparently, Perry and Mitt have not yet made the required pilgrimage and donned the required head-wear etc. Their campaign managers are probably working out the details with the Israelis right now...they will make the pilgrimage...or else they will not get JACPAC cash, AIPAC support etc.

All of the horrible smelling demonstrating in the streets needs to go somewhere, like Iran and see just how long you get to protest. Love America or Get Out.

Watched some of the debate last night.... Herman Cain gave me flashbacks to Hogans Heroes' Sgt. Schultz.... 9-9-9..... :-)

By: dargent7 on 10/12/11 at 8:55

The truly sad thing about all of this...the "straw polls", the debates, the interviews, is that one of these idiots ( or two) might very will get the nomination and become President of The United States and be our "leader".
Anyone remember when you said, "The United States", you had pride?

By: tafjr19@aol.com on 10/12/11 at 9:00

Imminent demise of critical thinking.

By: dargent7 on 10/12/11 at 9:04

brrrrk: The best line was from Bachmann who said, "Well, you turn the 9-9-9- upside down, it's the devil". (6-6-6).
And this freak wants to be President of The United States?

A Christy run would have been nice. A rotund guy from NJ... many the "tolerant" Left would have lost their minds on that.

I'm hoping the OWS movement will just be a nice commercial to middle America for the alternative to BO. "Do you REALLY want more of THIS???" or "Do you want to be associated with THIS crowd???"

I'm sure the OWS folks will all vote "against The Man" by voting FOR "the Man" in the white house. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

By: Captain Nemo on 10/12/11 at 9:15

Does it worry anyone that Cain was the head of God Fathers Pizza? If he is elected would this mean the Mafia be running the country? ;-)

I too like Christy, but I think he was too smart to jump in this Tea Party infested travesty.

Godfather's was a division of Pillsbury.
Cain "turned it around" but is mean and nasty.
And, too black for America.
Unless I missed something.

By: Captain Nemo on 10/12/11 at 9:22

I have been thinking about the 99% may be heading in the right direction. Counter balance to the Tea Baggers, may send people in a different heading. After all America is called The Great Experiment.

By: BigPapa on 10/12/11 at 9:24

you don't the the idiocy of the OWS folks protesting while their guy is in control and has a strong ties to Goldman-Sachs?

Too me they just look like every thing working Americans hate.

By: Captain Nemo on 10/12/11 at 9:34

African-Americans have been brainwashed into not being open minded, not even considering a conservative point of view. I have received some of that same vitriol simply because I am running for the Republican nomination as a conservative. So it's just brainwashing and people not being open minded, pure and simple.
Herman Cain

By definition conservatism (Republican) does not stand for open minded.

con·ser·va·tive [ kən súrvətiv ] reluctant to accept change: in favor of preserving the status quo and traditional values and customs, and against abrupt change
of conservatism: relating to, characteristic of, or displaying conservatism
cautious and on low side: cautiously moderate and therefore often less than the final outcome
