Up for Debate: Holder in contempt; SCOTUS rules

Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 11:46pm

It was a busy day in Washington. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision to largely uphold the Affordable Care Act. What is your reaction to the ruling? Also, the House voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt for not turning over documents related to the Fast and Furious operation. Do you agree with that move? What do you think will happen moving forward?

I fear this comment area remaining as an unkempt litter box this morning may indicate an editor on vacation for the week. That could be an example set to follow though.

Here is what Eric Holder does not want us to know.
The ATF Under his direction was instucting gun stores to "knowingly" sell guns to straw buyers, which is illegal. The gun stores would call the ATF with thier concerns. The ATF agents in charge of Fast and Furious instructed them to sell the guns. They even instructed the gun owners how to hide the money from the IRS. The ATF agents in charged reminded them of who approved their Federal Firearms Licence.
The gun that killed American Border agent Brian Terry was purchased by Jaime Avila on 1-16-2010. On that day he purchased 52 guns, including 5.7 pistols, barret .50 bmg, ak-47's, ruger 9mm, and a colt super .38. He paid cash.

Fast and Furious was na attempt to re-instate the Clinton era assault weapons banthat Eric Holder helped write.

Well, dargent7, correct me if I'm wrong, but your buddy nimrod gave my identity to you. Don't remember? Ask him. But what name do you think you're using when you identify me as Paul Wade? The sure ain't my nick name.

I'll agree, though, you can't teach an ignorant man new tricks. So tell me, what president have you lived through that refused to identify himself other that Barack Obama. So on that basis, I'll agree, he's one of a kind.

And bfra, if your memory served you at all you should remember Bush 1 was the first man in office to mention the US going into a One World Government. Didn't you wonder what he was talking about?

Do a little research on them, if you consider Barack Obama as a legitimate president, the last 9 president have been in line to take our nation to a one world government. There's too much world money in the program.
And as I said before, the UN was the worst bill Harry Truman got passed when in office. Which he did as a follow up for FDR.

Hey yogi, I like it when "they" get upset and show their true colors.
Because we know "they" would not speak to us like that in person.
Go ahead, blow another head gasket!!!! hahahah get it?

By: yogiman on 7/2/12 at 9:21

Dumb question: What wars have we been in since WWII? So are you ready for another one?

If things don't look good for Barry and he doesn't think he has enough idiots left to vote for himself, look out Iran. He may get it declared as a war to protect Congress' re-electin instead of going into it as a UN conflict without any approval of the congress he's supposed to work through.

Wrong again yogi, you gave yourself away by writing a letter with your name and zip code. Then you bragged and us all know that it was you. I just reposted it.

Here's a good one..... this came directly from the 2012 REPUBLICAN PARTY OF TEXAS Report of Platform Committee and Rules Committee... essentially the Texas GOP's platform.

"Knowledge-Based Education – We oppose the teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) (values clarification), critical thinking skills and similar programs that are simply a relabeling of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) (mastery learning) which focus on behavior modification and have the purpose of challenging the student’s fixed beliefs and undermining parental authority."

If you're interested, it's on page 13.

Not to CHANGE the subject, but to change it anyway, what do y'all think about the Border Patrol Agents in AZ being told to run and hide if they are shot at in a public place under Barry's tenure?

By: Captain Nemo on 7/2/12 at 9:58

Not to CHANGE the subject.....

Translation; The subject is getting away from me, I got to bring them back somehow.

Usurper, usurper, Kenyan, Kenyan, socialist, socialist, usurper, usurper......

By the way Yogi, you do realize that almost everyone here is making ass fun of you. Well except for bud, but I know for a fact that she's a lot of bulbs short of a full string.... so she really doesn't count.

Question, children. Do any of you know the meaning of the word "Dhimmitude" on page 107 of Barry's original Obamacare bill?

I suggest you check it out. Lemme know what you think of it. Do you think it should have been left in that bill?

By: yogiman on 7/2/12 at 11:14

In case you haven't bothered to look it up, fellas, Dhimmitude is the Muslim system of controlling Non-Muslin populations conquered through jihad.. It, specifically, is the taxing of non-Muslims in exchange to tolerating their presence... and as a coercive means of converting conquered non-Muslims to Islam.

So, would it make you wonder why Judge Roberts "changed his mind" and voted a tax on the Obamacare bill?

Was there a reason the SC had a private meeting with Barry the day before he was sworn in? Did he "miss" that oath by accident or or purpose?

And since no one was to be there when he was supposed to "re-swear" the oath the next, did he take it?

I can’t get over just how the tea bags or so screwed in the head. If yogi is any sign of the movement then those people are really deprived mentally and emotionally.

By: gdiafante on 7/2/12 at 12:12

It's all about fear and these idiots so gullible...if they weren't so dangerous it would be funny. And I think they've convinced themselves that all this BS is true...they truly are headcases.

If you get a chance, check out the What Makes Us Who We Are? episode of Through the Wormhole on the Science Channel (or as the GOP would call it... the Witchcraft Channel). It goes a long way in explaining how people, even when presented with hard evidence, will hold on to their beliefs have been altered by propaganda.....

By: brrrrk on 7/2/12 at 12:18

beliefs THAT have been altered by propaganda....

By: gdiafante on 7/2/12 at 12:23

I saw that one brrrrk. And you're right. The public has been duped by psychological warfare in advertising and, yes, politics for a long time. That's the genius of the GOP...they have effectively convinced a significant portion of American society to vote against their self-interest in every election.

It's truly unbelievable.
