Up for Debate: Humane Society takes on walking horse abuse

Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 10:48pm

What do you make of the Humane Society of the United States' graphic undercover video (which can be found on YouTube)? Pepsi pulled its sponsorship of the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration over the release of the video. Reports of abuse have been around for years. Do you think authorities will ever crack down on the practice?

But is calling a horse of a different color the ''H'' word.. racist?

By: bfra on 5/18/12 at 10:31

slacker - That would work, if the budweiser comes with it.

The Belgian in that picture could down lots of drinks, if so inclined!

By: Beernazi on 5/18/12 at 10:44

He was supposedly good tempered, thank goodness!

By: BenDover on 5/18/12 at 10:47

After Hermey pulled his aching tooth he was good tempered.

By: slacker on 5/18/12 at 10:48

IMO, this walking horse business, is a relic left over from a time, when people had to create their own amusement. Thats no longer necessary. They should let this so called sport, be gone with the wind.

By: Beernazi on 5/18/12 at 10:53

slacker, there's a lot of relics left over from a time which should be gone with the wind. Some of them post on this board! lol

By: slacker on 5/18/12 at 10:57

Oh yeah, you must be referring to the... ''one trick pony''

By: BenDover on 5/18/12 at 11:01

Quit your horsing around, you two.

By: Beernazi on 5/18/12 at 11:02

Yeah, he needs to be put out to pasture!

By: slacker on 5/18/12 at 11:04

Sowing & eating ''wild oats''

By: Beernazi on 5/18/12 at 11:11

now don't be putting the cart before the horse.

By: BenDover on 5/18/12 at 11:15

I find myself needing to hoof it to keep up with you guys.

By: Beernazi on 5/18/12 at 11:16

I also hear he's a bit long in the tooth.

By: slacker on 5/18/12 at 11:18

You've gotta take it by the ''reins'' Ben.

By: slacker on 5/18/12 at 11:20

Long in the tooth, and has no horse sense.

By: Beernazi on 5/18/12 at 11:23

lol

By: Beernazi on 5/18/12 at 11:24

quit beating a dead horse, slacker!

By: BenDover on 5/18/12 at 11:28

On the practice of torturing horses, my vote is neigh.

By: slacker on 5/18/12 at 11:28

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't shut up a Birther...

By: BenDover on 5/18/12 at 11:29

Dancing chickens, however, will never fall out of favor, second only to bum-fights.

I'm also against soring bums & chickens.

By: slacker on 5/18/12 at 11:35

Naw... soring bums is ok.

I'm still trying to get over the comment, " Paul was the ugly Beatle".
Always thought Ringo was homley.

I don't know, I thought all four were a little squirrely looking.

Well, well. More "what's going on here". I seems the company that was promoting Obama's book was still showing him as being born in Kenya on April 3, 2007, but changed his birth place to Hawaii a few weeks after he threw his hat in the presidential ring.

Hell, was he really re-born in the USA?

By: Beernazi on 5/18/12 at 1:33

Speaking of beating a dead horse.....

I think this bears repeating. LOL

By: Funditto on 5/18/12 at 1:40

I see Yogi is still beating a dead horse. Geez, is that all he's got against Obama? I guess he has no problem with Mitt and the "Heavenly Father" he worships?

By: Beernazi on 5/18/12 at 1:43

I think yogi is envious of the magic underwear.

How's it going, Funditto?

Geez Ben, can you do something about your puppy? It's pissin' all over the furniture!

By: BenDover on 5/18/12 at 2:23

That bio from his publisher IS kinda funny. Wonder who provided that data on him to his publisher?

Take a bow Yogi... this ranks right up there with when Michelle had the speech where she said they had "visited Barrack's home country, Kenya"... lol

By: yogiman on 5/18/12 at 2:51

BenDover,

Check out that article in the latest DRUDGE report. These Obama lovers will likely not believe it but it has been brought out in many places recently by Breithart?. They should be wondering why he died art such an early age unexpectedly.

By: slacker on 5/18/12 at 2:52

Ben, you've done it now.

By: Beernazi on 5/18/12 at 2:55

A full autopsy report on the death of conservative blogger and activist Andrew Breitbart was released Wednesday, concluding that he died of heart failure as a result of coronary artery disease and an enlarged heart, coroner officials announced.

No significant trauma was detected, and foul play is not suspected, the Los Angeles County coroner's report said.
