My husband does not drink twithead; and Budlight does not mean beer, just like blanket nazi is not about hitler.

Yep, Raspy you are correct. My hubby and I will do well in any economy because we are living in God's economy and are blessed and then some.

Hey bfra, get your welfare check and cash it.

By: yogiman on 12/31/12 at 8:21

Are you sure that drunk driver you was following wasn't bfra, budlight?

By: Ask01 on 12/31/12 at 9:09

If reports are to be believed, it seems the nation has stopped at the very brink of the cliff.

While neither side will likely be totally happy with whatever the details of the 11th hour agreement when finally released, at least we have an opportunity to preserve the fragile recovery instead of being plunged into an outright depression to rival the 1929 crash.

Now the responsibility lies with the electorate to force politicians to fix the problems so we don't go through this again every year.

Yes, I said the electorate. Politicians are greedy, money grubbing slugs, but if the voters put the fear into them, they will take action to, borrowing a line from Mel Brook's Blazing Saddles," 'protect their phoney baloney jobs.'

By: budlight on 1/1/13 at 12:21

OK, it's 2013 and I'm here posting and wishing everyone a Happy New Year - @ 12:20 a.m. Hey, where do people get the money to buy all these fireworks they are shooting off? Shut up with the fireworks OK!

By: yogiman on 1/1/13 at 4:30

2012 is behind us now. It's time to look 2013 in the face of matters. I hope everyone had a good 2012; even among your enemies.

Now its time to start doing some serious thinking in 2013 if you want to keep the USA you was born in... so take a nice train ride.

It was posted on the last day of the year, but Budlight's 9:08 post is, IMO, a candidate for: "Most Asinine Post of 2012".

After describing my contact with a horribly disfigured young veteran of the Afghanistan War, this past Sunday, Budlight posted this bizarre and delusional reply:

Loner, you probably never watched the soap All My Children, but there was an actual burned vet on that show. Over a period of time, he had skin graffs and procedures to repair the damage. It turned out well for him. There are many ways to heal and repair those wounds.

It "turned out well for him"? In other words, the victim actually benefited from the ordeal? And since this soap-opera TV actor/victim turned tragedy into fame & fortune, "it turned out well for him" and thus it should turn out well for the hundreds, or thousands of similarly disfigured soldiers, airmen and sailors. No need for outrage...no need for compassion...no need to stop the wars.

It is amazing how people like Budlight can so easily rationalize the horrors of war....truly, Bud's post is a prime example self-bullshitization.

By: bfra on 1/1/13 at 8:50

Loner - Trolls don't care about anything or anybody but themselves & puttin asinine comments of the board.

By: bfra on 1/1/13 at 8:53

Put a "g" on that puttin, or other posters will think I am as dumb as budlight.

By: yogiman on 1/1/13 at 8:53

Loner,

How about trying to use that little pea sized brain in your skull. No common citizen wants war. During my time in service (when I was overseas) I never met one common citizen that had a love of WWII.

The only people that loves war are the power hungry people in office and the money making manufacturers.

Wars have created many multimillionaires while getting many young people killed. But a little history should tell you there has been wars upon wars since time as we know it began. Will it ever stop? No. It's the major factor in keeping the population on earth at a livable pace.

By: budlight on 1/1/13 at 9:28

Loner I have not heard one vet from any war, including recent wars run down our country or the president(s) the way you do. So you continue to sit on your toilet and espouse your views and spew your hate for our country, our past presidents and our military. But when the day comes that you need protection or help, remember, you can't cry out to the military or to God. You don't like them.

Your posts are also examples of, in your own words -- self-bullshitization.

Get off your throne, take off your crown and try to relate to the real world. You live in your bubble. And your critical comments are not taken seriously by me or others who see through you.

By the way, Chicago didn't do all that well in reducing gang and gun violence this past year. They still rank in their with NY on violence.

By: Rasputin72 on 1/1/13 at 9:42

LONER..........You have gone from a young hippie wanting to change the world to an old hippie with the world in about the same place.

You can kick the can on down the road for as long as you want but humankind is not going to change.

You might remember that mankind is motivated by three essential motives.

(1) The desire for money
(2) Getting there fustest with the mostest
(3) Might always makes right.

I and others did not make the rules. We are just playing by the rules as they have been passed down since the dawn of man.

It is good that a few people like you point out the fallacy of human behavior in general. Unfortunately it is considered "good rhetoric"

By: Captain Nemo on 1/1/13 at 10:24

Loner budlight is the real reasons I have a gun. The Conservatives needs to loosen their grip on money and pay for mental health for people like her.

Let the Big Troll suck!

By: yogiman on 1/1/13 at 11:12

Loner,

Have you and your "buddies" ever heard of Pravda? That's a Russian newspaper. I suggest you check them out on their views of Obama.

google "pravda news on obama" then go further in finding out their thoughts on gun control in the USA.

With your attitude, you might not like Pravda's, but remember what Russia's citizens went through under their government's gun control.

NEMO.........I think of you as intellectually bankrupt, but I cannot help myself from asking what rules do you think guides the human behavior that has brought mankind to this point in history.

Don't give me the other cheek shit. You haven't turned the other cheek since your Samoan experience.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 1/1/13 at 11:36

It'll be interesting to see how Boehner reacts today. Hopefully 2013 will be the death of the Tea Party extremists and their obstructionism.

By: yogiman on 1/1/13 at 12:29

Hopefully 2013 will be the year of exposure on 'Barack Obama', B2. That is, if we can get a congress of enough true Tea Party member to bring him "up front".

Obama has 21 aims at re-shaping America to take over as dictator. I won't write them all out but I'll title each "chapter".
1. Post American Presidency.
2. Tax increases for all.
3. The end of marriage.
4. Silencing conservatives.
5. Pullback in the war on terror.
6. Liberal court activism.
7. Open border anarchy.
8. Amnesty for illegal aliens.
9. Diminished U.S. military.
10. Carbon tax to save the planet.
11. "Green" energy crisis.
12. New era of socialism.
13. Government run health care.
14. Radical abortion agenda.
15. Weakening gun rights.
16. International taxation.
17. Economic statism.
18. The "movement" presidency.
19. Rise of liberal theology.
20. Early-life experimentation.
21. Post-Christian America.

You can see where he has "put his foot in the door" on some of these issues. Will he succeed all the way?

Being backed by a congress that won't question him and the support of people who have no idea who he is, yes, he may make the USA the USSA.

Raspy old boy if you did not spend so much of your time, try to act as if you were an intellectual. You would understand that I have nothing to do with any Samoan, which was before we knew each other.

Turning the other cheek has nothing to do with cleaning the trash out of ones house. You’re still a punk and morally corrupt.

By: Captain Nemo on 1/1/13 at 1:06

They have dwindled in the pass few months, bfra. It seems that reality has bit them on the ass and only the dumb asses remain. That was the core of the movement anyway.

Dumb a$$? Is that why you're still here, dumba$$?

By: yogiman on 1/1/13 at 4:07

I mentioned about the article in the Russian paper Pravda earlier. For those of you who might like to read it go to //english.pravda.ru/opinion/columnist/28-12-2012/123335-americans_guns-0/

It should tell you how the common citizens of Russia felt when they were put under dictatorship.

Isn't it interesting when the governor of Hawaii claimed to be an old friend of Obama's grandparents he can't provide a birth certificate after becoming governor like he said he would do? Why did a reporter make such a statement?

Repubs want more spending cuts, I think by cutting their salaries by at least 1 /3 would go a long way on spending cuts. They would still be making more than they are worth. Then put them on the same benefits the average citizen is on. That would save a lot more. It might put a damper on their lavish life style, a little, but living (high on the hog) in this economy is uncouth.

NEMO, Everyone appears to be a pseudo intellectual through your eyes.

Could I ask one last time for your response to my 11:35. You have already spewed your hate, envy and Obamaclass vile screechings.

If you are unwilling or unable to state your rebuttal. about human behavior then how about telling me how many troglodytes were in your daughters wedding?

By: Ask01 on 1/1/13 at 5:16

I believe, Captain Nemo, the mad monk troll is seeking confirmation of his obvious belief humanity is ruled at the core, by the baser instincts, the first unwritten Golden Rule, "Do unto others before they do unto you."

The Darwin Doctrine of "Survival of The Fittest" at it's most extreme may be what guides those who use others for their benefit then throw them away, but a modern society cannot long sustain any meaningful advancement adhering to such philosophies.

Such doctrine might play well among primitive hunter gatherer or nomadic societies, but advancing beyond that stage, to maintain order and cooperation in communities, citizens need security on all levels of Maslov's Hierarchy of needs, I believe it was called.

Otherwise, the result, as individuals adopt an 'everyone for themself attitude,' is a total breakdown and stagnation of society.

I believe one of the fallacies of Marx and Engles' writings is they envision a society where everyone is the same, receiving according to their needs. A noble concept, but unless humanity advances much further along a sociological scale, the concept is self defeating, as the majority of people will only do what they must with no visible reward for extra effort. The idea of performing a task just because the whole will benefit is still difficult for many to comprehend.

In the same manner, if society is allowed to degenerate to the point a small number of individuals hold the majority of the wealth while the majority wallow in squalor, municipalities and nations can stagnate and die. Additionally, there exist imminent risk of revolution, anarchy, and unspeakable violence breaking out, as those with their backs to the wall, with nothing to lose lash out.

Of course, I'm just a poor uneducated country boy, but that's the way I assess the situation.

Loner budlight is the real reasons I have a gun. The Conservatives needs to loosen their grip on money and pay for mental health for people like her.

And Loner, Nemroid is the real reason that people are glad to have a delete button, forward button and mute button.

I've never been a threat to anyone, unless you consider the truth a threat. And Nemroid does. Nemroid, go back up into your cavity; you're a pain the butt.

Raspy, you go. Your questions will not be answered by the "roid" because the "roid" can't comprehend the questions. And "roid" is both unwilling and unable to state a rebuttal about anything.

Happy New Year.

If you are unwilling or unable to state your rebuttal. about human behavior then how about telling me how many troglodytes were in your daughters wedding?

If you think that you are ever going to have any success in insulting me, it would behoove you to know who I am. This pointless attempt of yours to offend me is not having the effect you are looking for. So who ever you think who daughter had troglodytes dancing at there wedding, I have no idea who it is. .

This seemingly hard to understand or concentrate on any subject is a dysfunction genetic marker of trolls and troglodytes. I know you but you have no idea who I am. With your replica mindset, you must have a close family ties to yogiman. Homo-Dumb-ass’icus.

Now one more time old boy, I have no idea to whom you are talking about when you say Samoan or any weddings.

Dose anyone want to bet that this is over Rasputin’s head?

By: Captain Nemo on 1/1/13 at 6:22

As usual the old cow is wrong, but my answer is far beyond her capacity of comprehension. That means you can’t think bud and save your Happy crap for those to whom has to put up with the likes of you.

By: Captain Nemo on 1/1/13 at 6:30

Ask01 I wonder just how Darwin would classified the likes of Raspy old boy, budlight and p3. I think Trolls and dumb-ass troll or perplexing to even intellectual men of Science such as Darwin. If he had any of our drooling trolls, he would have thought that there was no hope for humanity.

By: Rasputin72 on 1/1/13 at 7:15

NEMO.....If nothing else you have shown why your income is so low. I do laud you for making an atttempt at earning a living no matter how small.

If anyone who is on the cusp of believing or not believing that all men are not created equal then reading the shallowness of the lower income people on this board would certainly sway one into understanding why some people have more than others.

I always insisted on every potential hire at The................Company take an IQ test. The comments by the lower income people on this board reveal that I was exactly correct in my insistence that this be done. I understand that the people who bought my company have turned the testing and qualifying of employees over to an independent consultant.

Employees make or break a company and certainly after being flogged with intellectual failures on this board realize that my involvement in the hiring of every employee was justified.

By: Ask01 on 1/1/13 at 7:53

Captain, I believe Darwin may have classified them as mere common examples of a ubiquitous species.

Possibly though, based upon some of their postings, coupled with apparent adamant refusal to exercise the advanced civilized practice of give and take to arrive at compromise, he may have determined them to be evolutionary dead ends, whose genetic strands would be weeded out because of the inability to adapt.

Just an opinion, however.

By: Rasputin72 on 1/1/13 at 8:55

ASK01.......As a solid member of the Simple Six your 7:53 is an exercise in what is called babbling dangling run-on sentence structure.

However, I did get your intent.

Intellectual diversity may very well be the straw that breaks the back of this democracy.

Well, Rasputin 72, I tend to write the same way I speak.

I find if I keep the listeners attention with few breaks, especially one with impacted fecal matter in the ears, they seem, usually, better able to follow.

Yourself as a case in point. So intent on criticizing my writing technique, you failed, as usual, to grasp the intended message.

A lack of diversity and failure to embrace the changes in society will prove the undoing of many.

We will miss you and your fellow trolls.

Maybe.

Well, actually, probably only to warn children about the dangers of mental and psychlogical atrophy.
