Up for Debate: Moving forward with security

As has happened in the past following other attempts or acts of terrorism, what changes do you think might come about, or should come about, following the Boston Marathon bombings?

The Ricin Letter is something rather new...but letter Bombs have been in use for centuries, according to Wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letter_bomb

Sounds like more Patriots Day type of BS from the lunatic fringe...the domestic terrorist threat....it's just about time for those knuckleheads to go on another rampage....McVeigh style.

First Stanza for a hard-rock-country cross-over hit:

Those Muslims got the MO, for killing innocent people.
Heard that from a pigeon, shitting on a church steeple.
He said: "Their Modus Operandi is: "Death to the Infidel".
"They get into heaven, if we all go to hell"....well, well, well.

(Wild-assed electric guitar solo here....)

OK first revision...to get air play and to add artistic ambiguity, take out "shitting" and replace with, "high"....remove "Those" in first line, to adjust the meter...

Muslims got the MO, for killing innocent people.
Heard that from a pigeon, high on a church steeple.

Yeah...that flows better.

Wake up, folks. When a judge hears a cased in an American courtroom and makes a decision based on Islam law, that should alarm you. This is the USA, folks.

It's really past time to wake up, fellas. That is, unless you're ready to become a Muslim nation.

By: Loner on 4/17/13 at 11:29

Second Stanza:

Well, I got news for Mohammad,
And the rest of his filthy crew.
Uncle Sam says, God dammit,
We're coming after you....well, well, well.

(Wild-assed tenor sax solo here....)

Blow it loud and clear, Loner.

By: Jughead on 4/17/13 at 11:48

Nimrod: Are you really gone? Not, like, play gone like before?

Azzhat. You have a Greenpeace rally to attend?

By: Jughead on 4/17/13 at 11:48

Loner: you sure hate gays for a liberal. What happened to all of that "diversity" in your blood?

Why do you hate gays?

By: yogiman on 4/17/13 at 12:02

I understand an arrest has been made on the Boston Marathon bombing. The identity was made from a camera at a jewelery store.

By: Jughead on 4/17/13 at 12:11

Loner: Don't quit your day job for music. Oh--forgot--you are a gov't leech and do not work.

By: yogiman on 4/17/13 at 12:14

You amaze me with your wisdom, Loner. You seem to know the negative points of every one on this site that doesn't agree with you, even though you don't know them.

How did you learn so much about me when you don't even know who I am? You have (at the beginning) called me a racist because I object to a man in the Oval Office who isn't qualified to be there, yet you deny being a racist for your support of him.

You have claimed to know the facts, but you have refused to give them to me. And not just you, Loner, but everyone on this site who has claimed me wrong.

You make comments about Rasputin72 simply because your buddy dumba$$ claims to know the man's history. Yet, again, you know nothing about the man.

Ah well, gotta get back on my old slop jar.

By: gdiafante on 4/17/13 at 12:18

what changes do you think might come about, or should come about, following the Boston Marathon bombings?

Don't let yogi or Jug near any large crowds. Judging by some of the ridiculous comments made today, I bet Jug is already on a terror watch list.

If stupidity is a criteria, throw Ben on there too.

By: yogiman on 4/17/13 at 12:37

How about joining our club, gdiafante? You aren't the "main brain" on this site.

By: Captain Nemo on 4/17/13 at 12:40

I'm still here Jugs. Why are you asking, did your blow-up dolly....blow up?

By: Captain Nemo on 4/17/13 at 12:42

yogi's lack of brains makes it all the way pass zero.

By: bfra on 4/17/13 at 1:11

Yogi big mouth, who was arrested, just in your pea brain) of course?

By: Captain Nemo on 4/17/13 at 1:18

yogi's 1:14 post asked how does Loner know who he is. Well yogi almost everyone on this site knows. You are Paul Wade, Gordonsville Village Idiot.

By: yogiman on 4/17/13 at 1:24

dumba$$,

You only know my name and address from a LTE I wrote. You don't even know what I look like.

And by the way, I don't give a rat's posterior what you look like.

By: BenDover on 4/17/13 at 1:25

I'm not stupid gd.

By: bfra on 4/17/13 at 1:25

Nemo - After I posted how people in Gordonsville laugh & make fun of yogi the idiot, he posted that he doesn't live there. One thing is for sure, the truth is not in yogi, on any subject.

By: Captain Nemo on 4/17/13 at 1:26

Stupid I know the people that knows what kind of double dumb-ass you are.

By: Captain Nemo on 4/17/13 at 1:27

4 times to piss you off.

By: bfra on 4/17/13 at 1:27

Ben, you might not be stupid, but your comments indicate otherwise.

By: yogiman on 4/17/13 at 1:27

Sorry, "ma'am", they didn't identify the man when they announced his arrest. Not being a friend of mine, I don't know who in the hell he is.

Could it be he's a friend of yours in your socialist club and you're just trying to ignore his identity?

By: Loner on 4/17/13 at 1:27

Hey Jug. the next time you see your Letter Carrier or go to the Post Office tell the workers there that they are all a bunch of government leeches...rant and rave loudly about it...flail your arms about and foam at the mouth....like you do here.

By: Loner on 4/17/13 at 1:30

This litter box is starting to stink?

By: Captain Nemo on 4/17/13 at 1:31

I Ben defence, he would have to good a long way to no where, to get even close to yogi's stupidity.

By: Captain Nemo on 4/17/13 at 1:33

That is just yogi getting rilled, Loner.

By: Captain Nemo on 4/17/13 at 1:35

I thought Jugs would have crawled out from under the rug by now. You don't think we would be so lucky that someone has stepped on him do you.

By: bfra on 4/17/13 at 1:38

yogi you dumbass, nobody has been arrested. Stupid, ignorant, not enough names to describe how dumb you are.

By: Captain Nemo on 4/17/13 at 1:47

Now bfra, yogi's brains have been locked up inside his pa's closet for years. Maybe that is what the old fool is thinking about

Oppps my bad. yogi doesn't think.

By: BenDover on 4/17/13 at 1:55

My opinions and world-view differ on some things from yours bfra. Chances are, actually, that we agree on the vast majority of things... these forums tend to polarize though because what sense would it be to discuss a topic if everyone agreed.

We agree about that having one out of every 100 people in America in prison right now is ridiculous, don't we... 1 in 8 if you are talking about black males between 18 and 35 years old; and the radical Muslims... you see that as a threat to our society and social order, right? Even as you defend Obama you can't be happy with him outspending Bush in Deficits in just 4 years and being on track to double (or more likely triple) them.

I'm for guest worker so that we can get these people documented so they don't have to live in the shadows... and so that we can more effectively manage our borders... focusing on the few who try to subvert a more reasonable system.

I was a big Bredesen supporter. I only voted for Corker over Ford because control of the Senate was in play and Reid and Co are uber-left (and, if I may add, have reigned that way).

You project right-wing ideologue on me but that's all about your perception and predisposition. Nothing could be further from the truth.

By: bfra on 4/17/13 at 1:57

Nemo - I just don't understand why anybody wants to post lies, likeyogi, it's just about everything he post. It certainly doesn't make other posters have confidence in anything you put on the board & it is always so easy to do a little research & find out the truth. Beats me, but maybe he gets some kind of tingling thrill from lies.

By: bfra on 4/17/13 at 2:01

Ben - You probably will never admit it, but the deficit is still increasing from the Bush/Chaney 8yrs of continuou flub ups, mainly caused by their own "personal agendas", not for the good of America.

By: Captain Nemo on 4/17/13 at 2:08

bfra

Like Rasputin, yogi lives in a very narrow world and he can never expand beyond his limited sight.

By: BenDover on 4/17/13 at 2:11

I don't see it that way bfra. I think you have to look at it through a very special prism to see it that way. But the people you deem credible have framed it as such and Bush refuses to defend himself or criticize Obama, so I can understand.

The stimulus should have been a one-time cost and not used to set a new spending base-line. And the draw-downs in Iraq and Afghanistan should have reduced the deficits instead of the savings going to fund on-going expenses of the vast bureaucracy expansion.

By: Captain Nemo on 4/17/13 at 2:14

Ben, I agree that most people have many things in which they have common agendas. However when you get the extremist like yogi, Jugs and Raspy sometimes things get blurred. They are the fringe right. Nuts and nuttyier(sic)

By: bfra on 4/17/13 at 2:15

Ben - You sound like yogi in your Bush defense. Bush can't defend himself, he has no grounds and already looks like a big enough goofus or mealy mouthed little puppet.

By: Captain Nemo on 4/17/13 at 2:17

Ben, Bush was mislead like most of the country, by Dick.

By: BenDover on 4/17/13 at 2:28

Given the situations and information at the time I think Bush made mostly all the right decisions. Hind-sight's 20/20 though and the president doesn't get the luxury that Monday Morning Quarterbacks enjoy.

If you ask me it's the people who excuse their own party that defends their same decision with the "Bush Lied!" nonsense who are more yogi-like. The dems turned the war into a political football when the going got tough. That, to me, is inexcusable. You either recognize that it was the right decision given the information at the time or you shoulder that albatross too. You don't add aid and comfort to the enemy by undermining the war effort for political gain.

By: bfra on 4/17/13 at 2:31

OMG Ben: Decision made on false info! I would love to see undisputed facts on how much money changed hands to get that false info fed into the right places for our ill begotten war.

By: BenDover on 4/17/13 at 2:39

Some was false, yes Yogi... but it was believed by everyone to be true at the time. Saddam's violations of the cease-fire were enough to take him out in my mind. Bush's mistake was that he didn't just pull the trigger like Clinton did.

Instead he worked to build a consensus and introduced a thousand different elements to the case for his critics to pick apart and use against him.

By: Rasputin72 on 4/17/13 at 2:39

NEMO.............I am of the opinion that the only way that underclass humanity is able to generate self esteem is by creating self-serving lies.

I call on you for that answer because I consider you as being the very epitomy of underclass.

Think about your life as it actually is versus what you would like it to be and get back to me.

Also, I find your taking the fifth amendment on answering the question, "Have you ever had a creative thought" as an afront to to those that have.

By: BenDover on 4/17/13 at 2:42

sorry bfra... I read your last post as yogi for some reason... that was in response to your post.

By: dargent7 on 4/17/13 at 2:49

What a sad day today is via this board!
2.5 pages of insults.
yogi's 1st post uses "personally" 5x.
Rasp is a 72 year old who thinks he's on top of the world.
Jugg has his usual "balls" commentary.
Yes, Stooges are in the house.
Ben's comment "given the info. Bush made all the right calls/ decisions...."
That is the most psychotic statement anyone could make about Bush and his entire cabinent. Look at him paralyzed reading My Pet Goat! Chief of Staff had to grab the imbicile and pull him away after 11 minutes of Bushie "gathering his thoughts"!
It's KNOWN Cheney wanted to invade Iraq for the OIL anyway, and 9/11 gave him the perfect opening.
It's KNOWN Saddam wasn't responsible for 9/11 and didn't have WMD's.
Powell KNEW is was a dumb-ass plan but played along to keep his job.
The USA attacked the WRONG country and ruined it.
Afghanistan is an ashtray dump and money pit.
Obama continuing there is idiotic, but he's stuck being at war somewhere.
Any wonder why Bush didn't attend the Repub Convention? His own party wanted to distance themselves from the idiot.

By: bfra on 4/17/13 at 3:01

Ben - That's no surprise, you get lots of things mixed up!
