What do you think of Edward Snowden's decision to out himself as the NSA leaker? What do you think of the reasons he gives for his actions?

He should be thanked by us (we the people) for informing us about how the government we are paying to represent us is sneaking up behind our backs.

Why should this young man feel he needs to flee our nation for being a true American?

By: govskeptic on 6/10/13 at 6:26

With the US Government operating in secret on more and more fronts, you can
bet they will go after this guy vigorously for telling us what 99% of congress didn't
even know about. Mr. Snowden was employed as a contractor not a "direct" employee
so it's somewhat unclear as to his liability unless he signed some type of
Secrecy contract. Of course, the President has declared everything A-OK and
ask that we trust him and the FISA Court to protect our Constitutional Rights.

Good morning, Nashville.

What do you think of Edward Snowden's decision to out himself as the NSA leaker? What do you think of the reasons he gives for his actions?

Snowden just wants to share a cell for the rest of his life with the Wikileaks dude, PFC Manning....they will make a wonderful prison couple.....how sweet.

Nothing will come of this kerfuffle...it will be business as usual in a few days when this story gets old and people go back to sleep.....but Snowden will pay dearly for this...I'm surprised that he wasn't snuffed by a drone already....the US president has the power to order death by drone strike on US citizens without regard to due process...it's all in the Patriot Act, suckers.....a gift from the Israelis....enjoy!

By: Loner on 6/10/13 at 6:37

Obama promised hope & change...we got song & dance....we got shuck & jive...we got Bush Dark instead.

No doubt about it, Defense, Israel & Energy call the shots in Washington...the POTUS simply carries water for that terrible trio....and with the Citizens United ruling, the situation will soon get even worse, as foreign agents purchase the controlling interest in Congress and the WH.

If this intelligence mining scandal gets too messy, BHO can always start a little brushfire war to distract the American public...I suspect that this will be the case....stand by for more holy war.

I find it interesting that he would run to a Communist to hide. Could it be that he had two employers? I also find it interesting that yogi would consider him to be a hero. What do say to that Comrade, yogi?

By: Captain Nemo on 6/10/13 at 7:03

I have a feeling that if this was done in 2004, the right-wing would have consider Snowden to be a traitor.

The biggest enemy to our country comes from the domestic extremist. The border issue is just an illusion and a wedge, use by ill informed jerks.

Nemo, who are these illusional (sic) domestic extremist you are speaking of? Might they be someone like the muslim (sic) doctor who was in the US military who screamed allaakbar (sic) as he slaughtered innocent unarmed citizens and military people?

Might it be people who want Christians to honor muslims (sic) while they would take away our freedom of speech.

The border issue is an illusion -- yeah, we're all imagining the illegal immigrants who are on the gov'ment (sic) dole in every state, especially where you are - CA if broke from it. TN is giving them food stamps, medical care, housing, education, transportation and free cell phones. Yeah, illegals (sic) are an illusion. Maybe they are also an urban myth. But of course, Obama will let another million or so into the country in the upcoming years.

"About 99% of Law Enforcement is in action, right now, and the Secret Service think (sic) he's somebody.

If you came to town, nobody would give a shit.

He's very tall and skinny. And from what I can see, appears to be black, too."
He's made so many enemies with his big pie hole flapping in the breeze, selling out our country, giving the bank away and having people spied on. And D7 if he says he does not know what was going on, he's either lying or incompetent.

He's spending our hard earned tax dollars to protect himself, when he needs to protect our borders and our country and our citizens. When are you and your ilk going to stop worshipping him as if he's a god and get real. (sic) He's a man who is ruining our country with his and the socialist agenda.

By the way, you had it perfect in TN; you lived in Sylvan Park where, by your words, there were no minorities - only your "class" of whites. What happened in San Francisco? Too diverse for you? (sic)So how's SD working for you? Is it white and rich and elitest (sic) enough?

Nemo, America is and always has been the most generous country and people in the world. Which country donates more money and items for natural disasters all over the world? When is the last time you took a perfect stranger off the street, gave them food and clothing and a place to sleep? Actually when is the first time you've done it? Never I would say. Oh, you donate, but you don't get your precious hands dirty - every.

You are running the country down. We treat humanity well compared to other countries. Or are you forgetting all the slaughter in Germany, Iran, Iraq and other muslim countries? And I don't mean in ancient biblical times. I mean since the turn of the century in the world.

Please, KKK and Neo Nazi are a minority in the world. There are far many more good people in the world and the US than you can even count. And do you think you calling Yogi "stupid" is falling within the guidelines of the empty sentence you wrote "So unless we change how we deal and treat the rest of humanity, we will face a every changing life style".

So when do you start to change how you deal and treat the rest of humanity? Your words are useless and meaningless because you treat others you deem beneath you with disdain. You and others on this post do it all the time.

So start the change at your own keyboard and in your own heart, nemo (sic). Or else, shut your piehole (sic).

Libertine, that would be capt nemo, (sic) bfra, brrrrk, blanket, and their ilk. Obama is chipping away at our freedoms. I'm sure if the internet were available when hitler (sic) took over, he would have accomplished his goals faster and broader. And drones spying on farmers. (sic) How absurd is that? Plus did you know that in 2009 Obama took over the Census? Why?

Your guess is as good as mine. On healthcare, the sign ups have been stopped because they reached their QUOTA, so no new people can sign up. I had a doctor tell me that the doctors in his field are "scared" of what is coming down the pike and he's one of the good doctors.

As usual, bud tries to change the subject and as usual she makes a laughing stock of herself. She goes from terrorist to charities in a flash. What does charity have to do with the subject of terrorist? Such a scatter mine it is no wonder she knows little of the world, except what her narrow mind can conceive.

Loner,

How is Israel calling the shots for a Muslin in the Oval Office in DC when Muslims hate (do not accept) Jews?

By: Captain Nemo on 6/10/13 at 7:49

Stupid yogi.

By: govskeptic on 6/10/13 at 8:12

It appears that many more telecommunication companies and Internet providers
were forced participants in this data mining than just Verizon and a few others
mentioned. Recent statements by Administration officials would make one
think these Court approvals are on a cases by case or individual basis. They
are not, most approvals have covered a massive number of individuals and or
companies under one blanket. I suspect my purchase of one bag of fertilizer
this spring plus two calls to Germany may have created a file, especially since
the fertilizer was put on a Visa Card.

I suspect computer screen names will be required on future IRS forms for
security purposes. A change to possibly "BigSpender" or "GovApproved" is
being considered.

By: Captain Nemo on 6/10/13 at 8:25

Why didn't you get outraged 12 years ago when the Patriot Act was started. I believed there were people on the left calling for a stop to this outrage. I was one.

By: bfra on 6/10/13 at 8:33

Sad lot that we don't have posters like gdiafante, slacker & several others here anymore, evidently. They posted facts & truths! But guess they got tired of reading the BS & LIES the trolls flood the board with everyday.

By: Loner on 6/10/13 at 10:34

I hear you, Bfra....there's the fresh troll droppings..and the old feces from old full litter boxes being dragged in here....this board stinks already....I believe that the NCP is deliberately trying to discourage us from posting here....trolls run the place now....see ya!

By: dargent7 on 6/10/13 at 10:34

BudLite: A head's up on why people/ posters on this board think you're crazy, ie., insane.
Not crazy like psychos like "Juggy", "Rasputin", even "yogi" Paul- Usurper- Wade".
You stated Obama's having 'secretive" meetings with the President of China..."
His name is Xi Jinping and they were seen playing golf in Palm Springs. It was characterized as, "an usual lenghty and informal desert summit" detailing intellectual property and cybersecurity".
Hardly "secretive". Nothing Obama does is 'secretive".
China has more money than the USA, 1.5 billion citizens, and Obama is smart enough to know it.
You'd prefer an imbicile like Bush to negotiate 'cybersecurity" with China?

By: pswindle on 6/10/13 at 11:18

This Showden guy is just the tip of the icing. Have you heard him talk? He is the fall man for a larger security breach. Believe me, the government will blow the top off of this leak. Let's us sit back and watch Rep. Issa make a fool again of himself with all of the investigations that he wants to do. I want to know who told this guy that he should blow America's security? He is right to hide, but you can't hide forever.

By: yogiman on 6/10/13 at 11:20

dargent7,

If you're a reader, there's a few books I suggest you look into. If you have a Kindle eBook you can get them at a reasonable cost.

1. Barack Obama's Rules for Revolution: The Alinsky Model
2. Black Skin Privilege and the American Dream
3. Government versus The People

They could get you started. There's more.

By: dargent7 on 6/10/13 at 11:47

yogi: All Presidents grow into the job...they don't have any idea what they're in for.
From Kennedy, LBJ, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Clinton, Bush, nd now Obama.
Neither of these any knew ahead what "The Office" entailed.
STOP with the railing and hailing against Obama. He's 52 in 6 weeks. What the fu!ck were you doing at 52?
Jerking off, no doubt. Even if capable of that.
Obama attended 4 college Universities (you attended ZERO), graduated with a J.D, was elected Ill. State Senator, taught at Harvard, had 4 televised debates, had numerous speeches, was vetted, and if America didn't want him, he wouldn't be there. He faked and forged it all?
What is your problem with reality?

By: govskeptic on 6/10/13 at 12:03

Capt:

Not sure if your 8:25 comment was directed at me or not, but you keep
bringing up "why not the outrage then when Bush was in Office." Well, the
truth is hardly anyone knew what all the junk was in the Patriot Act when
passed, and I doubt seriously you did either, especially this portion. It
appears even after having been passed this long most of congress didn't
know it was there, or certainly not in the present contents.

Whether Bush, Obama or the next President there's a hell of a lot going on that's just wrong. I think the record will show that lots of folks within the Republican voting
ranks disapproved of a great number of Bush policies and bills passed,
including myself.

By: yogiman on 6/10/13 at 12:35

dargent7,

You've made the statement before about going to college.

What did you major in? It certainly wasn't 'common sense'.

How can an intelligent person believe every word a proven liar says when that person refuses to identify themselves?

By: yogiman on 6/10/13 at 12:41

By the way, dargent7, you state Obama went to 4 different colleges. What colleges have you seen any papers on justifying his being a student in that school? Why did he put those papers under lock and key.

Could it just possibly be because they would expose him as a foreign student? That is if he did, in fact, attend those schools.

By: Jughead on 6/10/13 at 12:41

Balls.

By: bfra on 6/10/13 at 12:42

yogi - How can an intelligent person believe every word a proven liar says?
===================================
So yogi, you are getting the picture! Nobody does believe anything you put on this board because you are a proven liar many times over.

By: Jughead on 6/10/13 at 12:43

"nothing Obama does is secretive"........HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

He's a lying criminal, dirtbag.

By: yogiman on 6/10/13 at 12:52

You know, bfra, it's interesting how you consider yourself intelligent. You constantly accuse me of being a liar but you never offer any reason for your accusations. Why not? Don't you have any except your "intelligence"; or lack thereof?

Yet you believe every word your man Barry says is truthful facts even though he has been proven time after time he's the worst liar known to today's man in our Oval Office.

By: bfra on 6/10/13 at 12:56

yogi - You are too stupid to even know when you have been proven wrong. Proving you wrong is like easy as pie, you have never put a fact based comment on this board. EVER!

By: yogiman on 6/10/13 at 1:12

I guess I'm more ignorant than you, bfra. I don't seem to be able you read your language. Are you using a code?

How about just putting your accusations in plain sentences using the plain English language. Or do you only know how to use your code wording and don't know how to use English?

By: Captain Nemo on 6/10/13 at 1:13

govskeptic;

My 8:25 post was in general, but since you ask, I will answer you.

You said, "Well, the truth is hardly anyone knew what all the junk was in the Patriot Act when passed, and I doubt seriously you did either, especially this portion.” This was enough for me and others to say wait. This is like signing a contract without reading it and that is just what people like you that was all for Patriot Act. You did not care what it was, back and now it has come to bit you in the ASS!

When it was passed, I bet you Bush knew about it, and most certainly Cheney knew what was in it. But again it has come to bit us all in the butt. Now what are you and all the others that were for it going to do about?

By: Captain Nemo on 6/10/13 at 1:19

Participation in food stamps has SKYROCKETED under Hussein, terrorism has reached our shores, and the IRS and DOJ have evolved into political terrorist organizations---all under the direction of Obama.

They act like none of this happened until Obama. Obama can't do anything without Congress - you have to see who voted for what in Congress. Don't get me wrong - I'm pissed that Obama is defending it when he should be opposing it. But of course, if he opposed it the wackos would blame him for being "weak on terrorism." Idiots.
