Up for Debate: Obama and Boehner meet

Monday, December 10, 2012 at 1:58am

On the same day President Barack Obama met in person with House Speaker John Boehner, Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker came out as in favor for raising taxes on the top 2 percent of households as a bargaining tool for deeper spending cuts on social programs. What do you think about these two developments in the ongoing back and forth regarding the fiscal cliff?

If he was just nauseating blank, he would be a delightful person.

Your 9:51 post, was exquisite, Slacker.

Apparently, the Golden Tablets uncovered in Palmyra, NY, were translated into English by Joseph Smith using a magic stone in a stove-pipe type men's hat...he would peer into the hat...burying his face into it, to screen out the light...in the darkness, the magic stone would reveal text to Smith...he would read the text to scribes...thus the Book of Mormon came about....a hat-trick.

Here's more on that::

Smith dictated the text of the [Book of Mormon] over the next several years, claiming that it was a translation of the plates. He did this by using a seer stone which he placed in the bottom of a hat and then placed the hat over his face to view the words written within the stone.[3] Smith published the translation in 1830 as the Book of Mormon. (End Snippet)

A Mormon Bishop got dangerously close to the White House...after reading more about the Book of Mormon, it seems that we dodged a bullet, folks....anybody who would believe that BS could be duped in other ways....in a time of Holy War, a President Romney might have resorted to using the old Mormon Hat Trick.

By: slacker on 12/10/12 at 10:26

I don't know Loner. Obama professes to be a Christian, which brings up Ark's, whales, etc.
If you're gonna bash one religion, you should include them all...can't cherry-pick and be fair. No?

By: slacker on 12/10/12 at 10:29

Although its hard to understand how Smithy duped people with the peering into the hat trick. You would think somebody had to say: ''Hey let me take a look Smithy''

Explanation, please. It seems okay for you to hate Israel and the Jews, but I should love your man Barry and his fellow usurpers.

What gives you such accreditation but I'm a damn idiot for my thoughts on usurper in office?

Ignoring my own advice, I will respond to this unwarranted personal attack:

I do not hate the Jewish people. I do question the wisdom and efficacy of the US-Israel "Special Relationship". We give; they take.

I do not hate the Jewish people. I do object to the influence of the Israel lobby and Zionist Jewish Super-PACs, like Sheldon Adelson's. We have no reciprocal influence over the Knesset.

I do not hate the Jewish people. I do object to and condemn the Israeli government's 45 years of intransigence and their continued stalling of the Peace Process.

I do not hate the Jewish people. I do object to and condemn the Israeli policy of building Jews Only settlements in the Occupied Territories. It's Jewish Jim Crow.

I do not hate the Jewish people. I do object to and condemn the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip and Operation Cast Lead.

Finally, I do not hate the Jewish people. If I did, I'd advocate the idea of concentrating the world's Jews into a tiny piece of real estate, in Muslim country, in the nuclear age, as concentration enables annihilation....the Nazis knew and understood this.

In truth, Zionism is counter-productive to its stated goals of saving the Jewish people from annihilation and greatly reducing, if not ending anti-Semitism.

President Truman should have invited the Holocaust survivors to come here, to settle, as US citizens, instead of recognizing the Jewish state in Palestine.....it was another Truman SNAFU.

As the old saying goes, gdiafante, you are your father's son and a citizen of your father's nation.

So how did a Kenyan's son become a natural born citizen of the US? And why is that Kenyan's son refusing to identify his citizenship?

Could it possibly he went to school in the USA as a foreign student? Not only his father..., but himself, also? Why did that retired mail deliverer say what he did about Barack, Jr.?

Have you ever known a retired mail deliverer to be a liar, gdiafante?

By: gdiafante on 12/10/12 at 10:41

Goddamn, yogi, how is it that you cannot grasp a simple concept that is backed by U.S. law...parentage has NOTHING to do with this?? Why, you ask? Because he was born within the United States. End of story.

Now, move on.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/10/12 at 10:42

If yogi was has smart as his dogs he would piss on a tree instead of his leg.

By: Loner on 12/10/12 at 10:44

Slack, I agree...my new signage includes the Magen David (Jewish), the cross (Christian), and the Islamic Crescent (Muslim)...the warring factions in the modern Holy War....I fault all three of the Abrahamic faiths....all are myth-based...Christianity and Islam are both heretical Judaism by nature, and both are practiced by non-Jews....it's all mass hysteria...time-honored, of course.

By: yogiman on 12/10/12 at 10:58

I get my education in three ways, bfra. I learn from experience, what I read written based on others experience and education and what I hear from others on their experience and education. How do you get yours, or do you already know it all?

If you already know it all, tell me, what is the differences between "natural born citizen", "native born citizen" and "nationalized citizen"? Then explain to me how Barack Hussein Obama gained natural born citizen status of the US with a foreign father whom he was named after, with a teenage American girl when his father was a foreign student.

Now, please understand, you don't know if he was born in Kenya or the USA, do you?

So let's look further, if his mother was a foreign student in Kenya, what would he be; a British subject, an American citizen, or a dual citizen?

By: parnell3rd on 12/10/12 at 10:59

A meeting between the President and the Speaker of the House will be more hot air that an blimp race in the Mojave Desert!

By: bfra on 12/10/12 at 11:03

WHAT education yogi? You prove everyday 24/7, you don't even have a brain.

By: gdiafante on 12/10/12 at 11:03

See my 10:41 post, yogi. You show me where parentage is an issue for someone born within the United States. I'll wait...

By: slacker on 12/10/12 at 11:04

Loner, I'm not a religious person, but I do like the thought of an afterlife.
I think there has to be some type of creator, considering some of the unnecessary emotions of humans, but I'm not wise enough to understand it.
I'm in the.. try to live an honorable life crowd. I don't believe God would have an ego, and certainly wouldn't require worship from a pissant such as myself.

By: pswindle on 12/10/12 at 11:15

Of course Alabama will hear the birthers case. The crazy Moore is back on the Supreme Court of Alabama. It is so sad that TN is beginning to look a lot like Alabama, and that is crazy as crazy can be. Yogi, please don't mention the birthers issue or the name that you like to call our President. That is a broken record.

By: bfra on 12/10/12 at 11:16

slacker - We think along the same line on that subject.

By: yogiman on 12/10/12 at 11:16

I'll repeat, gdiafante, prove he was born in the United States and I'll apologize and back off.

What was the first Executive Order he placed when he went in office? To put all of his papers under lock and key. Why?

Was that postman lying about his "talk" with him when Bill Ayres' parents told that postman they were sponsoring him in school? Just who is lying, gdiafante, Barry or everyone else?

By: slacker on 12/10/12 at 11:21

pswindle,.. Tennessee will never look like Alabama until we beat them in football.

By: gdiafante on 12/10/12 at 11:21

I've already shown that, yogi. Both the long form and short form birth certificates are real.

Now, back off.

By: bfra on 12/10/12 at 11:26

gdiafante - He can't admit that you have proved him a liar in every way. He posted before the election, if Obama won, he was off of here. He has no pride
, no sense, just plain no values to anyone but his crazy old stinking self.

By: yogiman on 12/10/12 at 11:31

Have you read Obama's 1995 autobiography, gd (if you don't mind)? Get a copy and read page 28 where he admits to having a copy of his original birth certificate in the late 1970s. That document was a copy of the official copy or an original vital record. It should be presumed to remain filed in the Vital Statistics office in the city where he was born... wherever that was.

So if he had that copy in 1970, why doesn't he still have it now? If he doesn't, why can't he simply spend 20 buck and get another copy to prove what damn fools we are.

Hell, I'd be glad to spend a hundred buck for it if it is officially certified to be a true copy by that Vital Statistics office. Wouldn't y'all be willing to throw a few bucks in with it to make sure you're right? Okay, sorry I asked.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/10/12 at 11:33

yogi, please respond regarding the executive order.

By: bfra on 12/10/12 at 11:33

yogi - What about the executive order, Blanket showed you wrong about?

By: gdiafante on 12/10/12 at 11:35

Read the links I posted. They adequately address the issues, yogi. Then, I expect you to honor your words and back off.

If, in the face of facts you choose to ignore your own pledge, then your credibility is lost on this site and prove yourself once and for all to be a liar in every sense of the word.

It's your move.

By: bfra on 12/10/12 at 11:35

Sorry Blanket, we posted at the same time. The crazy old coot never admits he isn't right on anything, he just changes the subject to another one of his lies.

First Black Elected to Head Harvard's Law Review

By FOX BUTTERFIELD, Special to The New York Times
Published: February 06, 1990

The Harvard Law Review, generally considered the most prestigious in the country, elected the first black president in its 104-year history today. The job is considered the highest student position at Harvard Law School.

The new president of the Review is Barack Obama, a 28-year-old graduate of Columbia University who spent four years heading a community development program for poor blacks on Chicago's South Side before enrolling in law school. His late father, Barack Obama, was a finance minister in Kenya and his mother, Ann Dunham, is an American anthropologist now doing fieldwork in Indonesia. Mr. Obama was born in Hawaii.

''The fact that I've been elected shows a lot of progress,'' Mr. Obama said today in an interview. ''It's encouraging.

''But it's important that stories like mine aren't used to say that everything is O.K. for blacks. You have to remember that for every one of me, there are hundreds or thousands of black students with at least equal talent who don't get a chance,'' he said, alluding to poverty or growing up in a drug environment.

Notice the date of this article. 1990.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/10/12 at 11:42

bfra, that is exactly what he does. What a loser.

By: gdiafante on 12/10/12 at 11:44

I'm giving him this one last chance. No excuses. He made the offer, I gave him the evidence. If he refuses, which is likely he will, there's no reason for anyone here to address him anymore. He's done.

By: yogiman on 12/10/12 at 11:44

You seem to be a good looker upper, how about looking up a man named Tim Adams. In July of 2010, he said he was a senior elections clerk for the city and county of the Honolulu Elections Office in 2008.

He made a claim Barack Obama was not born in Hawaii as the White House maintains. He based that claim on information he was told by the Vital Statistics Office in Hawaii that there is no original record on file for Barack Obama.

In a televised interview after leaving his position with the Elections Office, Adams stated: "There is no birth certificate. It's like an open secret. There isn't one. Everyone in the government there knows this. I managed the absentee-ballot office. It was my job to verify the voters identity."

Was he lying?

By: bfra on 12/10/12 at 11:45

yogi is a redneck, backwoods racist that would probably like to belong to the KKK but with the yellow streak up his back, they wouldn't have him. So he uses this site to spew his hatred for our President because he hates a black man that is so far above him in every way, he just can't stand it.

By: gdiafante on 12/10/12 at 11:50

Yes, he was lying.

It's obvious that you have no intent to read the links I provided, because you're busy throwing out other debunked information.

There you have it folks, YOGI IS A LIAR.

There's no reason to deal with him anymore. I suggest we all ignore the troll, this time for good. No "click", no nothing. Just ignore every lie that SOB writes.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/10/12 at 11:52

Agreed, g.

By: bfra on 12/10/12 at 11:53

gdiafante - I agree with that, but it will do no good unless ALL ignore him. He is nothing!

By: Captain Nemo on 12/10/12 at 11:53

That is what I will do gdia.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/10/12 at 11:55

Nemo, how was your weekend?

By: Captain Nemo on 12/10/12 at 11:56

I saw Lincoln yesterday and wow it should get a lot of nominations .

By: gdiafante on 12/10/12 at 11:56

You know how he his, blanket. He throws feces around like a monkey with IBS.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/10/12 at 11:57

How was your adventure, Blanket.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/10/12 at 11:59

Indeed, g.

It was fun, Nemo! I had a good time. I've been wanting to go see Lincoln too. Maybe this weekend.

By: gdiafante on 12/10/12 at 12:00

Go see it, blanket. It's worth it.

By: bfra on 12/10/12 at 12:01

Nemo - I have heard nothing but praise for that movie.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/10/12 at 12:01

I think it was so good that I should have seen Sky first.

By: bfra on 12/10/12 at 12:02

My daughter went to the new Brad Pitt movie & she said it was so bad, the theater mgr. refunded their money. That was in Atlanta.

By: gdiafante on 12/10/12 at 12:04

It doesn't pull any punches. There are many cringe-worthy moments that illustrate the racism and gender bias of the day. It's easy to get lost in the moment of emancipation, but then you have to remember that it would be another 40+ years or so until women could vote...African-Americans would have to fight for civil rights again 100 years later...very sobering reality of our past.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/10/12 at 12:04

The Hobbit and les Miserable or next on my list.

I'm glad to hear ,Blanket.

By: bfra on 12/10/12 at 12:04

Name of that movie, Killing Me Softly.
