Up for Debate: Obama warns Syrian president

Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 1:14am

President Barack Obama issued a warning to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad against allowing the use of chemical weapons against rebel forces, threatening U.S. action. What do you think about not only the warning but also the prospect of Syria using chemical weapons?

It is getting to be time for our Want-to-be- Monarch to get off for lunch and sing his praises of himself.

Tell me what you think.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/4/12 at 11:29

I think you should read the actual document rather than the conspiracy crap. You know, the FACTUAL stuff.

Has Obama started any new wars? Maybe not, but he's kept the Afghanistan War going for four years now and he claims that we must stay the course there through 2014.

And this guy won a Nobel Peace Prize?

But, as they say in those annoying TV ads, that's not all.

Here's a NYT article about the US President's power to order assassinations of suspects, by way of drone strikes. The piece is thought-provoking and chilling.....here's a snippet:

"The matter may have lost some urgency after Nov. 6. But with more than 300 drone strikes and some 2,500 people killed by the Central Intelligence Agency and the military since Mr. Obama first took office, the administration is still pushing to make the rules formal and resolve internal uncertainty and disagreement about exactly when lethal action is justified. "

And another:
" More broadly, the administration’s legal reasoning has not persuaded many other countries that the strikes are acceptable under international law. For years before the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, the United States routinely condemned targeted killings of suspected terrorists by Israel, and most countries still object to such measures.

But since the first targeted killing by the United States in 2002, two administrations have taken the position that the United States is at war with Al Qaeda and its allies and can legally defend itself by striking its enemies wherever they are found. "

yogi, how do you decern what is factual and what is not? I have a feeling you can't differentiate between the two.

Rasputin's demand to be loved is the greatest of all arrogant presumptions.
Friedrich Nietzsche

By: Captain Nemo on 12/4/12 at 11:41

No one is more arrogant than Rasputin toward women, more aggressive or scornful, than the man who is anxious about his virility.
Simone de Beauvoir

By: Loner on 12/4/12 at 11:43

It's hard to say if the POTUS actually signed off...that is personally authorized all 300 drone strikes...but it's a safe guess that he did sign the death warrants for many if not all those suspected terrorists.

Obama is Bush-lite? Same great taste....less filling.

By: yogiman on 12/4/12 at 11:45

Another dumb question, B2: Why did dictators support Obama so much? Did they give him campaign money?

When he was in the Senate, why did he unethically politically campaign for his cousin in his Kenyan race?

There's still a lot of questions, B2; who, what, when, where, why and for who's benefit?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/4/12 at 11:48

Please post FACTS to support what you say. The only thing you ever post is conspiracy crap that has zero facts attached. Do you know how to tell the difference between the two? Because it doesn't appear as if you do.

It's a balmy 69F outside right now...rain is in the forecast....but it's too nice outside to hang out any longer here....at the Nashville Keyboard & Mouse....later!

Men like yogi, knows everything - all of them - all the time - no matter how stupid or inexperienced or arrogant or ignorant they are.
Andrea Dworkin

By: bfra on 12/4/12 at 11:51

Blanket - At least he admits he ask "dumb" questions. LOL

By: Captain Nemo on 12/4/12 at 11:52

Later Loner.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/4/12 at 12:01

bfra, I'm afraid that he is too dumb to know that.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/4/12 at 12:02

That's true, bfra.

By: Eye Nose & Now ... on 12/4/12 at 12:02

I don't have may be as much educashion and not good typer but I have lots
of common scents and i just believe what ever Obama do is ok as I am like his
workers they first thing ask when in sittuation is --- what would Obama
do---and they do that. I don't think republicns bad people---they just ignant

he ignant on politic cause he pull my tooth and he was listen to Russ
Limball on radio. Next time I have tooth ake I keep tooth ake before I go back
and have to listen to Russ as he king of ignance.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/4/12 at 12:15

A smoked fill eye and a stuffed up nose has now fogged the board. LOL

By: yogiman on 12/4/12 at 12:28

Apparently I don't, B2. I only know what I see and read. Most of it I don't know how to "pass it down the line".

When I see, and read an article about a known dictator commenting highly in favor of Obama, I presume they mean what they are saying. Otherwise, why would they say it?

By: yogiman on 12/4/12 at 12:31

True, bfra,

I ask dumb questions... and lo and behold I get a lot of dumb answers. What was my last question you answered? It's hard to remember a BS answer.

By: bfra on 12/4/12 at 12:32

blah - blah - blah

By: Captain Nemo on 12/4/12 at 12:34

yogi they would say it just to get you riled. You’re such a push over. LOL

By: yogiman on 12/4/12 at 12:38

Are you still in kindergarten or wasn't you taught English in school, EN&N? You're worse than dumba$$ on your writings (sorry, I meant postings).

By: Captain Nemo on 12/4/12 at 12:40

When a dumb-ass asks a dumb question then that same dumb-ass should expect to get a dumb answer.

Does that clear things up for you yogi?

By: gdiafante on 12/4/12 at 12:42

Apparently I don't, B2. I only know what I see and read. Most of it I don't know how to "pass it down the line".

You are a liar. You post links to conspiracy sites all the time, when asked to cite proof, you're suddenly computer illiterate. You're a joke.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/4/12 at 12:44

If you had any brains yogi you would see that EN&N is pulling your leg, but then you haven’t any brains to speak off.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/4/12 at 12:55

This bears repeating:

It does not take a genius to fact check on the internet but it takes an idiot to believe every chain email and conspiracy website that comes along.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/4/12 at 1:00

Blanket you have just given the definition of a yogi.

By: bfra on 12/4/12 at 1:01

EN&N makes more sense than yogi!

By: Captain Nemo on 12/4/12 at 1:02

This is true bfra. ;-)

By: yogiman on 12/4/12 at 1:20

I'll readily admit, B2. I'm dumber than hell when it comes to using a computer in comparison to you "other" users but I learn a little every now and then.

Post used to be a fence post. Site used to be a place. What else is new?

But I believe my old age tells me a hell of a lot more about what's going on ion this country than you seem to know. That is, unless you're in the program with them.

By the way, B2, did you hear, or read, Obama's Thanksgiving speech? What did you think about him not mentioning God in that "little talk" on Thanksgiving? Now that I can give you the source of it.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/4/12 at 1:27

Our government has a separation of church and state. So what.

It's not your computer skills that I question - it's your ability to tell facts from conspiracy/opinions. Or perhaps you just don't care if it's true or not. You just enjoy saying it.

By: bfra on 12/4/12 at 1:28

yogi with all the lies you put on this board, you should not mention "GOD".

By: yogiman on 12/4/12 at 1:29

Wanna see an educational show, B2? Go to www.youtube.com/watch?v+_rtOPHomx7E/

The man giving the information is a well known retired detective. Is all of that data fakes?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/4/12 at 1:32

yogi, just because it's on youtube doesn't mean it's so! Damn, you're gullible!

By: gdiafante on 12/4/12 at 1:32

Well, you can navigate Youtube, search for oddballs, copy and paste the link on here but cannot use a link provided here, copy and paste in in your browser, hit enter and then read.

F'ing moron...

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/4/12 at 1:33

You're dumb as rocks, you know that?

By: Captain Nemo on 12/4/12 at 1:33

Computers are not the only thing you are dumber than hell at, yogi. Life is just as dumbfounding than a computer. At less with a computer you can turn it off and on. You can do that much?

By: Captain Nemo on 12/4/12 at 1:36

A bag of rocks are far more superior, to a flaming yogi’nut.

By: yogiman on 12/4/12 at 1:50

Well, B2,

If you want to call that detective a fake, how about watching Barry himself. Is he lying?

Did youtube fake that one, also?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 12/4/12 at 1:57

OK, my patience has worn thin. This guy is a moron and there's no point in trying to talk to him.

By: gdiafante on 12/4/12 at 1:57

When you read the law, I'll look are your idiot links.

By: yogiman on 12/4/12 at 2:03

I've read the Constitution, gdiafante. What amendment was passed to legitimately change the requirements for the president's and V-Ps offices?

By: yogiman on 12/4/12 at 2:05

And by the way, gdiafante, why did the Senate decide John McCain was a natural born citizen because both of his parents were American citizens? Not only one, you know; both.

By: Captain Nemo on 12/4/12 at 2:09

If you had any brains yogi, you would know when something is being edited as badly as this youtube crap that there is no truth to it. I thought you had something new, but you have not. So why should we spend anymore time with you disease brain.

By: yogiman on 12/4/12 at 2:11

I'll repeat a question I've asked before: What did his wife mean when she said they had to take medical shots when they went through Africa to his homeland of Kenya? What did she mean by his homeland?

I've always thought of the USA as my homeland because I was born here, what about you?

By: bfra on 12/4/12 at 2:14

I'll bet if a vote was taken, the USA would disown yogi as a traitor, slanderer, liar & a filthy mouthed slug.

By: gdiafante on 12/4/12 at 2:15

So damn stupid...

I tell you what, yogi, you show me where the Constitution defines natural born citizen. Let's start there...

By: gdiafante on 12/4/12 at 2:20

You know what, nevermind. We've been through this ten times already. You obviously don't have the faculties to process simple information. You so completely misunderstand the Constitution and U.S. law it's embarrassing.

You are the epitome of the dumb southerner. Until you can acknowledge simple, well known facts, to hell with you.

By: bfra on 12/4/12 at 2:30

gdiafante - But yogi carries these little Constitution books around & sticks in everybody's face he meets. That is the reason every goes the other way when they see him. He just never bothered to read what he preaches, or can't read it probably.
