Up for Debate: Obama's job approval rating drops

Monday, October 24, 2011 at 9:14pm

A Middle Tennessee State University poll released Monday shows President Barack Obama’s job approval rating in Tennessee has dipped to 30 percent this fall, with his disapproval percentage spiking to 63 percent. Following Obama’s inauguration in 2009, the president enjoyed a 53 percent job approval rating in Tennessee, and a 27 percent job disapproval. What has since happened to cause the plummet?

From his known past it is obvious Obama is deliberately overloading the U. financial system by using socialist designs to remake the economy to his way of government... socialism to communism.

Go back to his comments before the election. The people are now beginning to understand their error in voting for him.

Since happened? Nothing's happened execept he got bin Laden and now Gadaffi.
If Bush had done this, Tenn. would be errecting statues all over town of the chimp.

He got Gadaffi? It would appear in spite of Oprah declaring "He's
the one" and the national press's confirmation of that in 2008, Tn
never bought into the declaration! After 3 more years of campaigning
it appears our voters were correct both then and now!

SCOAMF.

That is all.

Yeah. He got Qaddafi, just like he single-handedly got Osama bin Wankin'.

Oh, you mean the nobel piece prize for being such a piece-maker? He's made a mess of our country. And I guess he has to boast about killing people instead of having a trial for them. Ummmmmmmmm! Sounds like a mess-maker to me. And we all know how to read, D7. We just don't have the misguided comprehension skills that the libs have.

Click & Clack: As President, Obama made the call. Turns out the right one.
Your hero, GW Bush made the "call" alright.
Wrong country to bomb and occupy.
Iraq, after 9 years, 4,500 dead soldiers, $1.30 trillion, will collapse and fall like a deck of cards.

By: dargent7 on 10/25/11 at 6:35

Bud: Give me your home address and I'll send you GW Bush's book, Rumsfeld's book, Cheney's book, and Rice's book is out this week.
Read them all back to back to back.
After that literary extravaganza, you'll shoot yourself in the head.

By: Moonglow1 on 10/25/11 at 6:36

Moonglow1: the comments regarding socialism and communism is a testament to the power of Fox News to successfully market nonsense to the masses. For example, the new healthcare law puts more money into the pockets of private for profit insurance companies than ever before. They are the same insurance companies famous for not paying for your treatment and making you jump through hoops to make them pay for your "medically necessary" care.

The Obama administration is no different from any Republican because they are all bought and paid for by multinational corporations and billionaires and gazillionaires. Another example of successful branding is Herman Cain who markets himself as a Washington outsider. Really!! As a lobbyist for over a decade, he is without question an insider. .

Problem is: no politician is on your side. Instead they all seek power, fame, and fortune. The American dream is dead.

Iraq, and Saddam (remember him?) was a giant obstacle to Middle East peace. He had WMDs that were funneled out of the country by helpful Syrians. Saddam was the first tyrant to fall and, like a domino, the rest are to topple as well.

Of course, if you want to go back to Iran and the Ayatollah's rise to stardom, you'll have to thank Jimmah.

If Iraq falls to Islamic extremists, well, that's to be seen. We gave them a chance to 'rise' and become a different nation. What they do with that opportunity is now up to them. If they adopt more Muhammdism, well, that's their backwards movement.

What BHO has to do is find jobs for the returning vets. What he can't seem to do is start this nation's economic engine, because he is a Dirty Socialist who was destined to FAIL the minute he started pushing a Left-wing ideology from the Oval Office.

The sooner the door hits his Marxist ass on the way out of there in January 2013, the sooner this little Republic can get on the path to recovery. And until then, Who is John Galt ?

You swallowed that song & dance hard! You probably think those Arabs responsible for 9/11, actually came from Iraq. Right?

By: dargent7 on 10/25/11 at 6:50

15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi. bin Laden was Saudi.
What is it with connecting the dots you Republicans do not understand?
All the Kings and Princes in Saudi Arabia are currently dying from old age. (Tennessean, if you read).
They got all our oil money and got off scott free.
With the noteable exception they are now dead by Al'lah's hand, not typically by the USA's military.

Well, my brilliant computer co-poster, can you please educate me and tell me where to 'search' for a comment I want to make? I have been educated, and thought all of my life, that I should use my own brain to think with.

I've been trying for sometime now to post a little knowledge to educate you and your fellow Obama idiots on this cite about the usurper in office. Other than my publicly known information about Obama's past, where else can I search to get the answer of sis presence, which he wants you to know nothing about?

You don't seem to be able to see beyond your nose to understand what he is doing to this nation.

By: jvh2b on 10/25/11 at 8:49

Yes I have and I see a man who is making corporations richer by the day (ya know like that 'socialist' plot to have everyone insured by PRIVATE health care)...not exactly the definition of a socialist now.

Oh dang...there goes that logic again...I know you can't process that...sorry.

By: yogiman on 10/25/11 at 9:22

Well, jvh2b,

I can understand your love of him making those corporations richer. After all, they're the ones willing to pay him $35,000 per plate to have lunch with him. Heck, wouldn't you help them that gave to you? And wouldn't you give the ones that gave you more, the most? Which one are you in with?

And yep, force everyone to buy insurance even if they don't want it, by "guvmunt" order. I don't know what you call it, but I call it forceful "guvmunt". You know, like communism?

Or would you cal it freedom in America? Of course at the "guvmunt's" wishes.

By: pswindle on 10/25/11 at 9:41

Yogi,

May I ask a question? If you don't want to buy health insurance, who do you think will pay for yours? The answer: the government that you hate so much and me and all of the other people that has paid for health insurance. Do you have car insurance? I beleive that is required by all that drive.

It only took 7 post today and before all three Gas Bags ignited; yogi, serr8d and budlight.

Gas bag = wind bag, pompous, talkative. One who constantly is talking, often in a longwinded pompous manner. Many of these folks like the sound of their own voice - often unaware of those around them who are often laughing at them behind their backs. These folks are often very vain and conceited - impressed by their own self importance. Many politicians are gas bags, full of empty hot air.

I don't think "yogi" will be truly content and happy until a Mormon with two sets of "Magic Underware" occupies the White House.
Or, a "real" black man, one who isn't 50% "white".
I just hope I live long enough to witness the 2012 National election.
This promises to be a circus rivaling Barnam & Bailey.

There is nothing yogi believes in, d7. But I think you maybe on to something about the half white half back. Then maybe he hates anything black. After all he is always call us Obama lover, reminiscing the days when people like him could say “N…er Lover freely.

Good morning-afternoon, Nashville!

I slept in this morning...all that sign carrying made me plumb tuckered...No arrests, yet.

As for the topic of the the day, Obama started off with nearly a one-third dissapproval rating...that was soon after Innauguration day, before he even started the job in earnest. That figure could only grow, as his programs were systematically thwarted by the TP-GOP partisans in Congress and the novelty started wearing off.

Without the Fairness Doctrine, the personal attacks on the president have been fierce and unrelenting; Rupert Murdoch, the News tycoon, has done his best to destroy the nation's first black president. Limbaugh, Beck, Savage, Dennis Miller and the rest of the gaggle of geese keep hissing and flapping their right wings....it's a barnyard comedy.

AIPAC, JACPAC and the COPOMAJO have turned on the president too. Obama did not kiss Netanyahu's @ss sufficiently. Without the support of the Israel lobby, nobody can assume the US Presidency....without that support, the prez is a one-termer.

The banks and employers are holding onto their assets until after the 2012 election; if the TP-GOP wins the WH, we will see a veritable tsunami of lending and jobs creation sweeping across the land...the GOP-TP will then take full credit for the economic turnaround....the masses will believe it.

Obama has also lost some support from his base. He is signing off on assassinations and expanding or starting new conflicts, like supporting the Libyan rebels. Now Syria is in the cross-hairs...Iran is also on the future hit list.

Obama is cracking down on the medical marijuana dispensaries in a draconian manner reminiscent of the Nixon days. The drug gangs and cartels are very happy with the crackdown...it's good for their dirty business. Obama is tap dancing and grinnin', the special interests are calling the dance tunes.

Of course, Simple Simon thinks the Pizza Pie-man can do a better job. The nation is nuts, IMHO.

By: Captain Nemo on 10/25/11 at 11:29

Hello Loner! It must be rewarding in your work for the 99% of Americans. Thank you.

By: Loner on 10/25/11 at 11:33

Moonglow hit the spike on the head...the special interests, not the public interest is paramount in Washington, DC.

The Citizens United USSC decision may be the final nail in the coffin of the American Dream....corporations are no longer restricted in their "frees speech" - in other words, they can now spend unlimited amounts to get their lackeys elected to public office....Bush the Elder and Bush the Younger appointed the Supremes who voted for this unlimited corporate funding of political campaigns....the robed ones were simply paying back the favors granted....even the Supreme Court is rotten to the core, IMO.

Thank you, Darge, for the kind word.

By: Loner on 10/25/11 at 11:34

And thank you, Captain Nemo.

Now that the US troops are leaving Iraq, by year's end, the Iraqis are realizing that they need to rebuild their defense forces...of course, Uncle Sam is right there to provide the hardware and training....kerching!

The Iraqis have decided to buy 32 F-16 fighters from the US and the deal includes pilot training. I guess that the neocons had factored all this in when they decided to destroy Iraq's army and air force....the replacement costs will be in the mega-billions.....KERCHING!!

Speaking of Cain..... I think that what we're seeing in Cain is the first purely corporate candidate. He apparently has no campaign staff to speak of....

Herman Cain's campaign puzzles political establishment
http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/10/19/2462475/herman-cains-campaign-puzzles.html

And on top of that he is not doing the usual fund raising that all the other candidates are doing. One has to ask, if Cain does get the nomination where is he going to get the money to mount a national campaign? Sure, sure... he could raise a lot of internet moolah, but it looks like that isn't even a big concern for the Cain folks. My suspicion is that toady Cain will get his money from his "friends", the Koch brothers.

Long ties to Koch brothers key to Cain's campaign

The next election may not be a choice between Republicans and Democrats, but between Democracy and Corporatocracy.

By: Loner on 10/25/11 at 12:33

Well put, Brrrk.

Thanks for the link.

It could be that Cain is the token candidate..the sacrificial lamb...by nominating this black guy, the GOP is trying to shed its racist image; they did this same thing with Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell, Condi Rice, Michael Steel and now Herman Cain.

When the segregationists flipped from Democratic to Republican, in 1968, the racist nature of the GOP was spotlighted; they've been trying to slink into the shadows ever since. Cynicism and tokenism are the result.

Black people who think like rich white folks are always in demand in the Republican tent...Uncle Tom would be a Republican contender today.

Cain may get the nomination by default. The born-agains do not like the Mormon guy. Perry has flamed out. Bachmann's team is abandoning ship. The others are marginal players.

I do not think that Cain would excite the GOP base to actually go to the polls in record numbers, in the general election...by simply nominating the black guy, they made their statement.

If, on the other hand, "Herb" Cain promises to let the states decide on Cannabis, and he promises a pizza in every pie hole, then yes, I'll vote for the guy myself.

Yogi, this link should interest you..."Perry doesn't know whether Obama's birth certificate is real"

http://opinion.latimes.com/opinionla/2011/10/perry-doesnt-know-whether-obamas-birth-certificate-is-real.html

According to the article, Gov. Perry claims to have had dinner with Donald Trump and that they discussed the issue. One wonders, did Rick Perry have dinner with Donald Trump at Perry's hunting camp, up on Niggerhead Mountain?

In a related development, Perry has pulled a Pontius Pilate on the flap over the proposed optional Confederate flag on Texas license plates...Perry says it's up to the Department of Motor Vehicles to decide the matter.

Gov. Perry is now encouraging the racist birthers.

Niggerhead Mountain? Confederate flag? And now the Obama birther thing? Yeah, it's fair to conclude that Rick Perry is a racist. Actions and inaction speak louder than words.

Face it folks.
You've got guys like Donald Trump yesterday, and Bill O'Reilly today, saying on the record, America is NO longer a great Nation....
What did everyone expect?
From the horrors of Vietnam to Iraq, and asinine people calling themselves and assembling under the tent called, The GOP, are all the exact reason America has fallen.
It's over, and no one can build it back up.
Cain? Romney? Perry? Bachmann?
These GOP faithfull still say Saddam was responsible for 9/11, GW Bush was prudent and just, and the US just HAD to invade, bomb, and occupy Iraq, and free the Iraqis for our own safety.
The tv cartoon, "South Park" is way more intelligent.
