Up for Debate: Paula Deen ditched

Do you think Paula Deen should have been dropped from the Food Network after what she said or did network executives overreact?

There was this thing going around the internet for a while, "Paula Deen riding stuff." You could probably still google it--it was pretty cute.

Better yet, here is the link:

To call someone a liar is one thing, but proving they are lying is another thing. And not once have you given a reason for not believing what I posted on this site.

Your feeble mental attitude is; I know its a lie even though I don't know the truth.

yogi - you prove it everyday with your undocumented BS!

I love this commercial.

Nemo - It's OK! I like the ones with the babies better.

No... I'm pretty sure that fear of retribution from the PC police over the N' word is what got Paula popped, Nemo.

Ben, I don’t consider you to be a racist. However I can see where there may be people that think that. You kept calling the unarmed Martin a thug, with a history. Yet it was the armed Zimmerman who instigates the conflict by following Martin.

Neighborhood Watch people do not care guns, because in doing so it gives them false courage. This would put themselves into dangerous situations, as did that faithful night. That is why the police dispatcher kept telling him to back off.

I'm not sure I know that one bfra.

The more I look into this; I can see that the Networks may have cause to get rid of her.

Newspapers, Tv, and social media are ablaze with the news of Paula Deen’s diabetes. If you haven’t heard the news, Deen was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes three years ago and kept it from the public all this time. I believe that public personas have just as much right as anyone else to keep their medical issues private. But when said public personas are promoting an unhealthy lifestyle that could very well lead to a disease, or even worse have seen the results firsthand of such a lifestyle, all while profiting is just morally wrong.

Nemo - Can't find a link, it's little babies trying to figure out how to get a cheerio in their mouth. Real Cute! Your last comment about Deen, I think, has as much to her being dropped as the remark.

By: bfra on 6/24/13 at 1:07

Nemo - Just read that Smithfield has also dropped Deen as a spokesperson.

Wasn't she in the papers last year for pushing fatty foods, calling them healthy?
Admidting using the "N" word is a no-no...period.
She's a fat cow anyway and already made her millions.

All blacks, especially teens, call each other "******" this and "******" that. Every sentence.
But it's hands off for a white person to use it.
That's been the way it was in Detroit 35 years ago and now in San Diego and San Jose' in 2013.
It's their culture, their skin...who cares?

Richard Pryor would never have sold a single comedy album. His main album was called "That Ni***rs Crazy". Hey he was funny OK. George Carlin. Shame on you people who laughed at their jokes and Eddie Murphy's also. And don't try to deny it. Ya'll all laughed at them. I know you did. So line up and sign up for diversity training to be held at my house on July 4th. Bring a covered dish - probably crow cause all ya'll are guilty.

Yes, I laughed at them also. Before I was enlightened by the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of COLORED People). Has anyone told them they are politically incorrect and outdated using the term "colored people"? I didn't think so.

Listen, let's move on and forgive these past and present sins and build our country back up. Google Kate Smith original version of God Bless America. The video has Ron Reagan in it. She is awesome!

I just of when the honkies talk dirty

As usually a disjointed sentence making no sense at all. What does "I just of" mean? Is it some kind of code language or space talk?

Stay out of the bottle or off the pot! Whichever it is, it makes no sense.

D7 you are so correct. Especially at a red light in Antioch you can hear that stuff. I just wish they'd roll up their windows; it distracts from my classical music -- and my country music.

By: Captain Nemo on 6/24/13 at 4:05

Sorry about my yogi bud. It should of been; I just love it when honkies talk dirty.

By: Captain Nemo on 6/24/13 at 4:08

It is none of the above bud. I just type before I read it. You know like you do so often.

By: Captain Nemo on 6/24/13 at 4:12

Listen, let's move on and forgive these past and present sins and build our country back up.

As many time as you have posted hateful messages about Muslims. This is way I think you are such a hypocrite, bud.

By: Captain Nemo on 6/24/13 at 4:13

Well I got to go now.

Randolph Scott got a round of applause from Johnny Mack at a dinner function at Las Angeles Country Club for properly indentifying racism in 1945.

By: budlight on 6/24/13 at 4:20

Yes, capt, you are right. (And left)

By: pswindle on 6/24/13 at 5:45

Do we not forgive sinners in the South? We have all grown for the better.

By: Captain Nemo on 6/24/13 at 7:42

You are not right or left, bud. You are just wrong.
