He is not a strong candidate, but even if he were there are just too many people who feel that "free stuff" from the government is their best bet for any kind of living standard. I personally feel that almost any one who runs as a democrat and promised lots of food stamps, medical care, social security and lenghty lengthy unemployment benefits has a very good chance of being elected. I

I don't think the Republican party has any idea what the loss of the middle class has done to their national election chances. The Republicans only chance to hold off the onslaught of social programs is to control the house and the senate.

The downside of these social programs is that the only people with enough earnings to be taxed for the cost of these programs are the Republicans and wealthy democrats.

The United States has a huge population of people that may be as intellectually bankrupt as they are financially bankrupt. They are very very resentful of success and of course have been encouraged to be resentful by Barack Hussein Obama. This does not make me angry at all. I laud Barack Hussein Obama for developing this strategy. It is very dangerous for the long term health of the United States but it is an excellent strategy for Barack Hussein Obama and his people.

Mr. Romney is a beaten man and I am not sure that the Republicans have anyone who can beat th "free stuff" and class warfare theme. Obama in a cakewalk in November

All I saw during the convention was others posturing and positioning for their own run for the W.H. in 2016 if Romney loses.
Marco Rubio talked for 20 minutes about himself and his illegal immigrant father and grandfather.
It's not important they broke the law and came to America illegally.....just the fact they came and brought their children and had more here is the important theme.
Everyone came with 10cents in their pocket and a dream. Never mind they lived off of the very social services they now want to deny other minorities.
Romney spun his family history saying his father and grandfather, born in Mexico, came to America fleeing oppression and to fight in the Spanish-American war or some other nonsense.
Everyone knows the whole reason for Mexico was that polygamy was allowed.
Ann Romney's dad was born in Wales.
Seems everyone was born in a foreign country and that's now a good thing.
Except, Obama started it and everyone in the Republican party has tried to excoriate him because of it.....now, turning the tables, it's a family badge of honor.
I personally don't trust the Romney's and Ryan's. Obama in 2012.

Good speeches by several speakers especially Sen. Rubio and
Mitt's best ever. The theme of the night was the correct one at
this time in our history: "It's time for a change", America needs it.

Did not watch, but reading the rants of the crazed monk, there was nothing new and we have someone who wants yogi crown. May the better fool win.

By: Loner on 8/31/12 at 5:36

Good morning, Nashville....it's good to be back home....my summer retreat revitalized the lone one.

I missed the GOP circle jerk in Tampa...all that hot air caused a tropical storm in the region....that and Satan's influence, of course.

Willard "Mitt' Romney promised to never apologize for Amerika the Exceptional. A fabulously wealthy, arrogant, draft-dodging, Mormon cleric is actually the Republican choice for the USA Commander-In-Chief job.....oh yeah, this nation is exceptional....we are friggin' NUTS.

Obama is a reneger....but he has this Mormon theocrat beat....it's going to be four more years of Obama's Shuck & Jive....unless some white gun nut wastes the Prez.

By: Ummm... on 8/31/12 at 6:45

Loner, you obviously didn't hear that the hurricane was created by Democrats to distract voters away from the Teapublicans' brilliant convention rhetoric. Apparently Michael Moore has all but conceded the election to Romney because of the oligarchs unrestrained super-pac spending on his behalf. If money can buy this election, then we can all get used to saying "president Romney." Ewwww...

By: Ummm... on 8/31/12 at 6:46

BTW- welcome back. Your sane voice has been missed-

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 6:52

So, how do you Christians feel about the whole "bearing false witness" thing?

By: dargent7 on 8/31/12 at 7:12

Having "family man" Gingrich and his adulterous wife kick the evening off was a nice touch.
Suprised they didn't exhume Charlton Heston's corpse from the grave, put a rifle in his hands, and prop him up in that chair Eastwood was talking to.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 7:22

Wait, wasn't that corpse in the audience? It was hard to tell.

By: yogiman on 8/31/12 at 7:29

Its pretty obvious you weren't living when Fidel Castro took over Cuba and became it's dictator, dargent7. John Kennedy, as President, backed him thinking his goal was to take control from the dictator of Cuba then and bring Cuba into a free world nation.

Kennedy pulled out when he found out what Castro was doing when his army won and became he became dictator.

The Cubans were given the privilege to come to the US. But they had to come on their own. When they got within the US's boundary on the ocean, they would be picked up and brought to shore and given the right to stay.

By: yogiman on 8/31/12 at 7:33

If Barry pulls his usurpation off again, you can kiss they USA goodbye. And interesting calendar was found in his grandmother's home recently. A fake? I don't know, but he claimed to have been born in Kenya for 16 years. So is it? Check it out at:

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 7:38

It's barely 8:33 and I've already marked off the "usurp" square on my yogi-ism Bingo Card!

By: Loner on 8/31/12 at 8:03

Thank you, Ummm....your kind words have warmed my heart....but, I'm not so sure that anyone is truly sane, self included.

I left some rantings over on the Mike Burch board....put a rough draft of a tune there too.

So, which board is the hot BINGO card today?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 8:04

I'm creating a yogi-ism Bingo Card. I should trademark it - it's gonna be hot!

By: Loner on 8/31/12 at 8:06

Apparently, American "researchers" have discovered BHO's DNA in some old cloth diapers in Kenya...read all about it here:

By: Loner on 8/31/12 at 8:09

BN: I laughed at your comment about corpses in the Republican fold....some of them need to show their papers to the authorities, to prove that they are not dead.

By: Loner on 8/31/12 at 8:13

The "Hair Helmet Twins"...Newt and Caligula....truly a lovely couple....your point is well taken, Darge. Newt crucified Bill Clinton by day...then screwed his horny aide by night....a model couple, indeed.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 8:17

Maybe there are dead people voting Republican....sure looks like it.

By: Loner on 8/31/12 at 8:18

The original draft had some typos...here's a better draft...I need some feedback from Music City:

The Party of High Hypocrisy

The party of high hypocrisy,
The party of Christian theocracy,
Sadly, this may come as news to some,
But that's what the party of Lincoln's become.

The party that once fought to free the slaves,
Now delivers what the supremacists crave.
All that talk about us versus them:
"Americans are the crème de la crème"

Talk about "American Exceptionalism",
Another euphemism, a red, white & blue prism.
We don't do Empire well....oh no.
America is going to hell....oh yeah.

Now the party of high hypocrisy,
Has revealed to the world, for all to see,
Their choice for the US Presidency:
A Mormon Bishop with magic BVD's.

By: bfra on 8/31/12 at 8:19

According to the news, a lot of mixup in the Nashville election, favoring repubs. Maybe they don't need dead people, just some cheating repubs in election procedures.

By: bfra on 8/31/12 at 8:22

Blanket - IMO Heston thought he was Moses, so maybe he was in the audience.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 8:22

And to think they are the ones worried about election fraud. Amazing.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 8:23

Wait, Moses wasn't the one who was raised from the dead, right?

By: yogiman on 8/31/12 at 8:23

Mark Barry down as usurper in the lower left had corner, Blanketnaz12. You'll be a loser by backing that usurper.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 8:24

Three "usurpers!"

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 8:24

I feel like the Count on Sesame Street - Three! Three usurpers! Bwahahahahah

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 8:25

Idiot can't spell my name correctly. Did you mean to say "left HAND" corner, old fool?

By: slacker on 8/31/12 at 8:29

''Make sure to usurp on mah pancakes momma''

By: yogiman on 8/31/12 at 8:30

I'm sure glad the dumbocratic party are all honest people, bfra. And I'll have to throw you right in line with them.

Could his honesty be the reason Barry Soetoro won't identify himself because he doesn't want to be known to be a Muslin in his faith and communist in his policies?

By: slacker on 8/31/12 at 8:30

Dead is ok with proper photo ID.
No rule on voting upright.

By: slacker on 8/31/12 at 8:31

Loner. glad you're back.

By: yogiman on 8/31/12 at 8:35

I just thought yo0u might tear that corner out when you realized you had screwed up, Blanketnazi2.

Keep looking, I'll give you some more errors to find.

And by the way slacker, I agree, my usurper will sweeteen your pancakes

By: bfra on 8/31/12 at 8:51

yogi the slurping upslurp, can't even crack a decent joke. Oh, that does take some thought & with no brain, that is impossible.

By: Loner on 8/31/12 at 8:52

Great to be back, Slack....I too usurp on mah flap-jacks....Yeee Haaaw!

I love Slacker's one-liners....he interjects them at precisely the right moment.

By: Loner on 8/31/12 at 8:55

Breakfast diner to Waitress: "I'd like a tall stack of pancakes. please."

Waitress to breakfast diner: "Y'all usurp?"

Breakfast Diner to Waitress: "No, I have my birth certificate right here, in my wallet."

By: Captain Nemo on 8/31/12 at 8:55

Loner, yogi is in a fight with Rasputin to see who will be The Troll King.

By: dargent7 on 8/31/12 at 8:57

Speaking of the dead...Bishop Romney can baptize you, only once you're dead.
Makes a lot of sense once he becomes a God and is assigned his own Solar System. In contrast, this whole Republican nomination is child's play. Becoming President of the United States is just one more step...kinda like Neil Armstrong.
Jesus, all I get assigned to is, "you get the cubicle closest to the Men's room".

By: Captain Nemo on 8/31/12 at 9:01

Oh yogi I will let you know the time when I get close to exit

By: yogiman on 8/31/12 at 9:09

You was supposed to meet me before but you never showed up. What makes anyone think you would show up any time. You made the remark before you didn't stop at Hess's any more.

What made you change your feeble mind?

By: dargent7 on 8/31/12 at 9:11

..."Barry Sorento won't identify himself..."
A Cliff Notes summary:
Graduates from Punahou H.S., Honolulu, Hawaii.
Attends Occidental College
Graduates from Columbia University
Graduates from Harvard University with a J.D. degree
Teaches US Constitutional Law at Harvard
Editor of the Harvard Law Review
Runs for the IL State Senate seat, and wins it first time around
Decides to run for President
Gets the Democratic Presidential nomination
Wins the US Presidency in 2008....legally, all accomplished by age 46.
Sure, pal, nobody knows who this guy is. He's undercover. He lives, works, and breaths under the radar.
All his documents, SS#, Birth Cert., transcripts are forgerys
He never had to prove who he was since age 16.
Everyone just said, "Oh, a half black man...come right in".
It's quite obvious.

By: yogiman on 8/31/12 at 9:14

What do you think about Barry's lawyer admitting his birth certificate is a forgery?

The reason she give to qualify him to run for the office makes one wonder.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 9:24

The case wasn't about that document, it was about whether or not Obama was required to produce a birth certificate to the New Jersey Secretary of State. Obama didn't produce any birth certificate to New Jersey real, fake, online, hard copy, or anything. It isn't evidence in the case so when asked, Obama's lawyer had no problem stipulating that it isn't evidence in the case.

Of course, that would be hard to understand if you are lacking in reading comprehension skills, like yogi and his fellow repubtards.

By: Loner on 8/31/12 at 9:24

Suggested political slogan for Willard & the Wiener:

"If there's another Holy War to dish up; let it come from a Mormon Bishop."

"Whiter. Cleaner. Vote Willard & Wiener"

"Romney: Another Bush brother, from another mother."

"It's the Magic Underwear, stupid."

"Romney & Ryan: Evasion & Lyin' "

Any feedback?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 9:24

Not true. President Obama's attorney stated that his eligibility to appear on the New Jersey ballot does not require a birth certificate. At no point in the hearing does Obama's attorney state the birth certificate is fake. There are lots of right-wing blogs claiming she does make that claim, but not a single one can specify where this statement takes place. The reason is quite simple...it didn't happen.

yogi, how do you feel about bearing false witness?????

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 9:25

By: yogiman on 8/31/12 at 9:28

Wake up dargent7, and use a little common sense. Why has the man spent millions to keep his history under lock and key? Why has he refused to identify himself. It's been proven his birth certificate, SSN and selective service papers are false (see the note I left Loner above)

A harder question is why did congress allow this to happen?

If he was in office legally no one would question his past. If they voted him in office legally, they would have no gripe. They're getting what they deserve. But he has refused from the beginning to let us know who in the hell he is. Some of us are finding out, and it ain't pretty.

You better learn to understand who and what he is, unless you want to enter into a communist nation with a Muslim in charge.

By: Loner on 8/31/12 at 9:31

Soreloseritis.....it's a chronic disease among the GOP faithful....it's debilitating thing....rots the brain.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 8/31/12 at 9:40

yogi, your lies have been refuted several times here yet you still continue to spew them. You have been provided with links to legitimate sites that provide factual information yet you continue to ignore it. Quit bearing false witness.

By: slacker on 8/31/12 at 9:42

Loner, I know you read the Israeli newspapers.. do you think Israel will strike Iran before the election?
If they do, which candidate do you think it would benefit?
I'm thinking it gets Obama reelected.
