What is your reaction to the first of arguments in the U.S. Supreme Court regarding same-sex marriages? Considering each justice, what do you think will be the outcome?

""Despise and defile" is correct. Thanks for the confirming what I have stated here, Einstein. You despise and defile Christianity."

Obviously Juggy does have some reading comprehension issues..... he didn't get that Twain quote at all....

As long as we are cut/copy/pasting from Twain:

"Lord save us all from a hope tree that has lost the faculty of putting out blossoms."

You folks have dried and dehydrated intellects whose constant watering from the Christian hatred well have left you insignifcant wandering losers.

Not ONE of you have the courage of faith. Hell, you don't even know what faith is.

My biggest concern when it comes to gay marriage revolves around end of life decisions and power of attorney. As it stands now, a gay person's partner would not be able to have power of attorney if they were in an accident or suffering a fatal illness - the power of attorney would go to a relative, even if the person has been estranged from their family for years.

Blanket, power of attorney is a legal document and can be drawn up by an attorney at any time in one's life. It can be financial power of attorney, or medical power of attorney. Most of the time, people do not even have a valid will, so it stands to reason that they are not thinking about "end of life" decisions at 30, 40, 50, etc. Check with your lawyer. You can have anyone YOU CHOOSE in charge of you, your estate, and yes, even your health decisions if you are incapable -- IF YOU GET THOSE DOCUMENTS PREPARED IN TIME AND PROPERLY.

209 comments .........4 commenters made one post. Three commenters made three posts.

Thirteen people were diverse to the existence of each other to the tune of an average of 15 comments per person.

This alone is an illustration of how well diversity works.

This is probably a great time to be wealthy and 50 years of age with no children.

It is a precarious time to be 50 years of age with children and/or grandchildren and less than 10 million dollars in assets.

"If you know I'm wrong on my arguments about Barry, how about proving me wrong. No one on this site has given any evidence I'm wrong, they just don't want their man Barry to be exposed and all they have done is disagree.

Maybe you can explain why he mentioned a hospital that didn't exist in 1961 as his birthplace. And maybe you can also explain why his sister named another hospital as the place where he was born."

If you know you're right, why don't you prove it. Wingnut rumormongers are not proof.

As far as hospitals of birth go, I can't say for certain what hospital I was born at, don't know the hospital of my wife's birth, or either of the two previous wives, can tell you positively what hospital my daughter was born in, nor what hospital my son was born in. Does that mean we were all born in Kenya?

one of the core values of AMERICA is FREEDOM......freedom to love, freedom to hate, freedom to be indifferent.......the old heads on the supreme court come from another era.....same sex marriage will be the law of the land eventually........it seems harmless enough......but there is the MORALITY question.......but if theres LOVE envolved, then im all 4 it........but 1 thing guaranteed in this life is CHANGE, and when you dont want to do that, then your problably getting old......JUST SAYIN

Using the word marriage to describe a same sex relationship is simply a perversion/misuse of the word. They can be whatever but never "married".
