Up for Debate: Sandy, Benghazi and Obama

Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 12:57am

Do you believe President Obama — as has been asserted — has benefitted from the news coverage of Hurricane Sandy while questions over the response to the Benghazi attacks continue to mount? Some have questioned not only the Obama administration's response to the deadly attack but also the most recent media coverage of what happened that night last month, implying some media outlets are ignoring reports of a "stand down" order to the CIA. What are your thoughts?

Great quote, Brrrk.

Thanks to Sandy, we now can see Romney in 3-D...Desperate, Despairing and Despicable....the Bishop's goin' down!

Loner, it is taking all of my strength to not reply to this....... :-)

By: bfra on 10/31/12 at 1:03

Loner - I think you are right.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/31/12 at 1:17

I dunno, Loner. Romney's head could spin and spit out green goo and he would still have the support of the lunatics. And apparently there's a lot of them.

By: Loner on 10/31/12 at 1:22

Go ahead, Brrrk, let yourself go....

It looks that way to me, Bfra. The Bishop is in 3-D mode.

I just hope that the EC viper bites the elephant's ass in 2012...it bit the donkey's ass in 2000.

Just heard that the Romney campaign handed out canned goods to people at yesterdays event so they could hand it back in again for the photo op.....

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/31/12 at 1:29

Yep, I posted a link to one of the articles, brrrk. They bought $5000 worth of stuff at Walmart and handed it to people to give to Romney as a photo op.

Seriously, how cynical can you get? That's truly despicable...

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/31/12 at 1:36

Indeed, yet the lunatics will STILL vote for this asshole.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/31/12 at 1:39

The Red Cross needs monetary donations but they bought a bunch of crap at Walmart then held up the line of people who DID bring donations to wait until he arrived before they could drop them off.

It's the mirror vote.....

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/31/12 at 1:41

The Red Cross says the best way to help right now is to donate money.

Money will buy food and blankets that can be sent to these emergency shelters immediately.

They do not need canned goods and diapers from Walmart right now.

Yikes! ''The Mitt's'' not getting any love from you guys today.
If Mitt performs badly in the first two years of his presidency, I plan to join in on the carping.

By: yogiman on 10/31/12 at 1:49

Hey, Loner,

What was that incident when Obama's "adviser" made the comment to never let a disaster go to waste. What did he mean by that?

You know so much about Obama, I'm sure you remember it.

By: Loner on 10/31/12 at 1:49

Romney just seems to be gaffe-prone, accident-prone and blunder-prone...Mister Faux pas....the bull in the China shop...tone deaf...insensitive....out of touch.....disingenuous....deceitful...dispassionate...other than that, he's fine.

Four pages and one is nothing but click and flushes.

If the troll had any dignity he would see what a fool he is, but the poor dupe has been abandoned by friends and family that now the pain of insults is better that nothing that fills his miserable empty soul.

Just curious..... do YOU think that buying $5000 worth of crap and handing it out to people so they hand it back as a photo op a positive character trait?

By: yogiman on 10/31/12 at 1:57

Just wondering, Loner,

What's the difference between those who (as you say) want a white person in the White House instead of a black person, and the ones who want a black person in the White House instead of a white person? Is one group so much more detrimental than the others?

By: slacker on 10/31/12 at 2:02

Bad news & good news. It was reported that Gov. Chris Christie, accidently stepped on President Obama foot today. No serious damage occurred, thanks to a fast acting Secret Service agent, who managed to wedge his foot in between the Presidents foot, before the massive weight contacted. The agent is recovering, and expects to return to duty soon.

By: yogiman on 10/31/12 at 2:05

I agree, B2,

There's a lot of lunatics on this site; on both side of the fence. And I hate to say it but y'all Obama fans have us normal citizens outnumbered enormously.

The storm thrust Romney in the almost impossible position of trying to write a role for himself in the story that has gripped the nation’s attention. The GOP nominee held a relief event in Ohio to collect donations for storm victims, but the event had the trappings of a regular campaign rally, with the candidate’s standard theme music and biographical video. As Romney packed emergency supplies, he did not respond to reporters who asked whether he is reconsidering his earlier assertion that disaster management is a job that should be turned over to the states.

Brrrk, it was a staged campaign bit. I think both candidates have character flaws.

By: Captain Nemo on 10/31/12 at 2:23

The Mitten is not a-quicken in a crush. In the boardroom he says this and his subject says it is done, SIR! However, storms are not for the boardroom and would soon turn the chairman into shredded documents.

By: Captain Nemo on 10/31/12 at 2:27

Maybe so slacker, but the President is being Presidential and seeing to the countries needs. The Mitten on the other hand is playing a kitten, because anything else would be seen as another blunder.

From a 1000 feet you guys look really petty and bitter today. The overall tone is contemptuous and just a bunch of hair-splitting over common baby kissing campaign work that always happens in the last days of an election.

It's becoming clear that you guys are really in fear that Obama's going down. Lighten up... Intrade's still got Obama at 66% and most of the people putting their money on the line are able to understand and compensate for the problems with Democratic over-sampling in the polls so Obama most likely still holds the real edge.

Tennessee's a wash anyway... last I heard was Romney was up 25 in Tennessee with 7 still up for grabs. Tennessee's 11 electors are going to the devil incarnate Romney regardless how much you guys b*tch about it. I don't necessarily believe that margin but I don't believe the 10 point margin earlier published either because McCain won Tennessee by 15 and Romney should easily out-perform McCain this year.

Anyway... take a chill pill guys... lean back and smoke one in honor of the lone one and let's get back to love and reason again.

I see it's been reported Obama comes up on the ballot when the people vote for Romney? I also saw where it is assumed Obama will get the second term and will begin working on his third term.

It's a shame you can't see beyond you nose, even as long as it is.

By: parnell3rd on 10/31/12 at 9:42

It's about time he NCP brought up some real issues! Of course Obama is just being himself. Blaming someone else for his failures. Bottom line, he is the President, he is in charge. Or, are you liberals suggesting he's not to blame for anything, because he is incompetant? You all blamed President Bush for everything. How come we can't use the same standards?
Thw Washington Post is reporting that Hurrucane Sandy is racist, because the hurricane hit low income families in Atlantic City. This is the stupid logic that you all live by.

By: parnell3rd on 10/31/12 at 10:08

Pres. Obama called the SEALs and they got bin Laden.
When the SEALs called Pres. Obama, they got denied. And DIED!

By: FaceBook:Emmett... on 11/1/12 at 10:36

ObaMao only paid attention to this disaster because there's an election next week and the affected areas are mainly Democrat. It's also a temporary distraction from his failure or treason in Benghazi.
